About the host

Hosted by Meleana

Host profile image
The owners Meleana and Thomas have had this property for 20 years. The cottage was built by the family in 2017. They live close by with their son Tieghan. Meleana is a high school teacher/counsellor, Thomas is a local landscaper and gardner and Tieghan is living the Kootenay dream with all season activities outside in the mountains.

Why they chose this property

Kaslo has often been coined "Little Switzerland" as it shares similarities of many Swiss villages; nestled at the base of the Selkirk Mountains, facing Kootenay lake and the Purcell Mountains also known as the BC Rockies. Guests will enjoy views of the snow capped Purcell mountains from various sitting areas of the rental.

What makes this property unique

A walk into Kaslo takes only 15 minutes, Golf course 10 minute walk and Ainsworth hotsprings a 15 minute drive. You can walk out the door and join the well known River Trail system that will give you a loop into town and back.
