About this property
Chill in Cherrywood close to UT, Downtown, Restaurants
Enjoy a peaceful setting and primo location in this remodeled 2-level guesthouse in a coveted East Central Austin neighborhood. Walk to DKR, Moody Center, and all major venues on UT campus. 5-10 minute drive to restaurants, bars, and arts of Downtown Austin. 5 miles to ACL at Zilker Park, 12 to COTA for F1 or other events, and 7 to the airport. Blocks away from Manor Rd. restaurants. Want to relax? Explore the garden space just beyond your shaded outdoor deck, or lounge inside to soothe the body and calm the mind.
The space
Located in the Cherrywood neighborhood, this is the perfect home base for exploring Austin and the surrounding Central Texas area. Kick back and relax throughout the house or cook meals in the fully stocked kitchen. Enjoy drinks on the shaded outdoor deck, or stroll through the garden. Comfortable furnishings and accessories pamper the body and help quiet the mind after a full day of fun activities.
The guesthouse is connected only by a carport with the host's home, which actually increases privacy by creating a buffer between the apartment and the main house on the property.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire 2-level apartment and its outdoor deck, garden area, and dedicated off-street parking.
My wife Xenia and I live on the property in the main house and are available for anything you may need via the VRBO messenger system. You may see us working in the garden or coming and going, but the guesthouse is a stand alone structure with complete privacy.
Other things to note
Keypad entry. Nest thermostat. Floor mattress twin size. Stand-up shower with tub in full bath. Hotel quality sheets and towels. Hair dryer in full bath. Laundry available including washer/dryer, detergent, dryer sheets, iron and ironing board. Fully stocked kitchen for easy meal prep. Coffee, tea, sweetener, creamer provided. Smart TV with local digital cable - feel free to log in to your personal streaming platforms, but don't forget to log out. Outdoor seating area with table overlooking garden.

About the host

Hello everyone!
As a native Texan that has lived all over the state, after over 30 years as an Austin area resident and business owner I am now Central Texas to the bone. Whether it is enjoying the endless outdoor possibilities, a yummy margarita at a favorite Tex-Mex restaurant, Longhorn football games, or a yoga class at our favorite studio, my wife Xenia and I are constantly reminded how fortunate we are to call this amazing area home.
