We had an awesome time staying at this fabulous property. It is a beautiful place with such attention to detail. Everyone had such a great time. Thank you for sharing your Maine paradise with us.
There are really few words to describe how wonderful this family compound is. Stunning views of Rangeley Lake, access to abundant hiking and biking trails to be enjoyed by all of our extended family.
When the little one's get tucked in, the adults could still enjoy the porch and fire pit.
Our host was avaiable to answer questions when we had them. Overall would say this was an A+.
Our multi-family group of 21 people - ages 83 -1 years young enjoyed the beautiful property and incredible scenic views - the pictures don't do it justice. It was quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed kayaking, swimming off the dock, trips into town, hiking nearby trails and the Strawberry Festival in Oquossoc. The house was comfortable with multiple areas for groups to gather. The kitchen is organized and fully equipped (the best I've seen in years of renting vacation properties). Communication with the owner was prompt, clear and accurate. We had one issue and it was addressed the same day - outstanding service! It is an amazing property and we appreciated the opportunity to experience "the last great place"! Thanks Scott
We can’t say enough about Finlandia on Rangeley Lake. It is my favorite “camp” and I have stayed in several around Rangeley. I absolutely love the way you blended the old original camp with the new parts of the house. This home has history and modern convenience throughout. The beds were comfy, kitchen very well equipped, The only thing we didn’t find was a large lobster pot. The screened porch was awesome. I also loved the library with the Rangeley Boat hanging. That is an amazing decoration and really ties the history into the modern property. The stereo system was really nice. We played music throughout the house and it just added to the vacation vibe! Movie projector and screen was great. And what a movie collection!
And the view.... no words. This is a perfect spot on the lake. We enjoyed boating, kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming off the dock and water trampoline.
All in all, we had a magical relaxing week in paradise. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Twelve of us (including 2 kids) enjoyed a bucolic week at this grand camp on the north shore of Rangeley Lake. Perfect for people who like to cook when they travel. The kitchen is huge and stocked with everything you can imagine. There's lots of room to spread out, so we never felt like we were on top of each other. We even held an impromptu recital on the piano downstairs. Definitely recommended.
Having rented homes in Maine for more than 25 years,I can say that this home had the best layout and ambiance. We could hang out in an exceptionally comfortable place.
Lots of wonderful big spaces to get together and lots of spaces to be apart. The lake is amazingly clear; perfect for swims; the loons provide almost constant entertainment. The lake is surprisingly quiet.
The cabins are a terrific addition. The sound insulation is done well -- everyone had a good night. The beds were all comfortable. The kitchen big enough for several people to work; lots of storage space and lots of implements. Easy to cook in. Kitchen has an invaluable view of the lake.

This is the perfect spot for a large family. The property is amazing!
We had a family reunion of 18. The house exceeded our expectations. Our family likes to stay in and cook every night. The kitchen was a dream. It was very well equipped. The drop down movie screen was fantastic for family movie nights. The screened in porch was my favorite spot. My husband and I would sit and listen to the loons every night. The library was unbelievable. We had a puzzle going and played games every night. The lower level was perfect for all the cousins. They had the best selection of games and dvds.
The lake is absolutely gorgeous. I had never been to this area of Maine and we fell in love with it.
The owner was so responsive and accommodating. This was truly a hit. There is nothing I would change except maybe stay for 2 weeks instead of 1!

A great family reunion in Rangeley!
We had a great week in Maine thanks to this wonderful home. It accommodated 5 families nicely; we felt spoiled with all of the bathrooms. Loved hearing the loons at night and seeing them while kayaking. The lake was so nice to be able to swim in right from the dock and the kids spent a lot of time on the water trampoline. The views are incredible- even from the kitchen! I even loved the beautiful, quiet library which didn't get much use. Every night we watched a movie on the big screen in the family room, and I played countless games of pool with my son. The lawn is ideal for playing corn hole or SPUD and we also loved the fire pit. Every day we did a different activity, from renting a boat for an afternoon and tubing, to day hikes or waterfall visits. Jumping off the cliff at Coos Canyon was a hidden gem. When we did have a plumbing issue, the owner was on it right away and the plumber was on our doorstep even though it was a Sunday. All around a wonderful week!

Maine beauty at its best
I've had the privilege of staying at this property both personally and professionally in the summer, fall, and winter. This property has a unique blend of luxurious elegance and rustic practicality. The view of Saddleback Mountain across Rangeley Lake is breathtaking any season. Its six bedrooms along with the two cabins make this property spacious and private. The modern kitchen, great room with full media including a drop-down screen, and game room make this a great rental for large families and group retreats. In addition to the wonderful amenities of this home, it is located near wonderful hiking trails, charming Rangeley village, and wildlife viewing areas (great place to see a moose). I can't imagine a better place for your family vacation, wedding or group retreat.

What a Great Week!
Our family group, consisting of 13 adults, 2 teens and 4 children, had expected an unforgetable fun week and we had much more than that. The property is strikingly beautiful and ideal for large groups -- a big, modern kitchen, a huge living area with projection TV and hundreds of DVDs to choose from, a wonderful library with books, puzzles and games, a rec room with big TV and a pool table, a large sun porch with gorgeous views, a fire pit for star-watchers and two detached cabins for folks who might want some quiet from time to time. It is right on Rangeley Lake and has its own dock and large offshore swim float, plus kyacks and a supply of lifejackets. It is convenient to Oquossoc and Rangeley for shopping, browsing and just strolling. We have rented properties in the Rangeley area for 15 years or so and this was our most enjoyable ever. The week passed much too quickly. Our thanks to the Keiths for shifting their plans to make it available for us. We would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous property.

Loved this place!
Our extended family of 11-14 was very impressed with the location, the comfort, and the beauty of this rental. We found plenty to do for all the age groups, from 16 to 70. The house itself was equipped well with bathrooms with each bedroom, a screened sun porch and a well-stocked, clean kitchen with modern appliances. The two cabins were equally nice. It's very hard to find a rental of this quality in Maine.
One of our favorite activities was kayaking in the morning when the lake was calm and the loons were active! There is plenty to do with lake-based activities but the surrounding area allows one to hike, bike, fish, shop, and dine-out.
All of our needs were addressed quickly by the owner and we felt very welcome in this beautiful house! I would highly recommend this property as an ideal place for a family reunion with all age groups included.

A Very Special Property
After many years of annual summer gatherings, our expanding family of 21 was looking for a special property that offered large and multiple public areas as well as private getaways, outdoor activities for all interests, and town shopping options. This outstanding property was as described and more. The house is immaculate, well maintained, and filled with antique and lovely architectural details. The stunning and well-equipped kitchen enticed all to join in meal preparation. Lawn games, projects on the patio, and gatherings around the fire pit are simultaneously possible on the large lawn. All rooms provide expansive water views and the property location creates the feel and enjoyment of being on a private lake. Most important, the gracious owner responded promptly to email inquiries and encouraged direct calls. The family voted unanimously to return next year to this wonderful property if we are so blessed to all be together for another magical week.

Amazing property!!!
We (a family of 17 between the ages of 8 and 75) just returned from a week at this wonderful home. It is a mix of the new and the old with lots of space for everyone. The kitchen is very well supplied with plenty of dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc. There were ample linens and towels for all. We found the house to be very clean upon our arrival. The screened sun room with its beautiful view of the lake and surrounding mountains was a favorite place for all. The house and cabins were just as described and the outside property was enjoyed by all. The loons on the lake at night were an added bonus!! It was a very special place for our family vacation and would return again if we could get everyone together at the same time.

About the host
Hosted by Scott Keith
We are a family of 7 that travels the country in a 1991 airstream RV while homeschooling the kids on the road. The four oldest are quadruplets.
Why they chose this property
We purchased this property because it was a historical 1920's fishing camp with antique features, character and the best location on Rangeley Lake. While it has been completely renovated and updated, the original character of the house has been maintained.
What makes this property unique
Features a 8 x 5 projection movie screen in the living room and high speed internet to the house and cabins.
