MONTAGUE MI !This newly remodeled 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath Home with walk-out basement offers privacy, seclusion, and many home amenities for a family to relax and enjoy Michigan outdoors. It is nestled in the woods on 5 acres, overlooking beautiful Flower Creek and Upstream from the new Flower Creek Dunes Nature Preserve on Lake Michigan. This area is considered unique for vacationing especially if one likes to hike, fish, hunt, golf, walk the dunes, explore, canoe, ski, swim, or boat on Big Flower Creek, Lake Michigan or other nearby inland lakes, marshes, and ponds. One can specifically visit the Flower Creek Dunes Nature Preserve or just walk miles on the precious sand dunes. Interesting wild life, birds and flowers to observe as well. So, come and vacation at our Flower Creek Walk-out Home. Lots of parking available and lots to do with the whole family and/or friends in and around this Western Michigan country. Chicago and Detroit are only 3 to 3.5 hours away. Grand Rapids is about an hour away. There are many Lake Michigan Beach entry points close by to this property. Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys

Small key on keyring is for dumpsters to right of the driveway. I send pictures to your text number you booked with.
Close all windows and doors. Adjust air/or heat for season. Please call or text when leaving so I can let cleaning let know.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Cig. buts and all smoking material must be disposed of properly to prevent fire and litter. Any smoking must be outside of the property only.
Any pets must have owners prior written approval and if approved the pet fees paid when reservation is made.
Circle driveway splits to the right. Please stay right when coming in for easier parking and exiting. (Especially in the winter months or if pulling.

Wonderful and Relaxing

The house house much bigger than anticipated and had great views of nature. Located in a quiet area where we were able to kick back for a day and just enjoy. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Very nice & clean!!

Very clean and we enjoyed the quietness. Mike Anderson was very nice to talk with and work with. We plan on coming back during the summer. So we can really enjoy the outdoors!!

Secluded, quiet, beautiful views

This house was bigger than it looks in the pictures and was a great location for our group of 5 adults and 7 children. There was plenty of space to spread out and the kids loved playing pool in the lower level. The view of the woods and creek from the back deck is especially beautiful. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked. A+!

Peaceful surroundings

The house was very clean and had enough room for our big family to enjoy time together. We all loved the views and being out of town. We cant wait to come in the summer to explore more. House had everything we needed and more, our boys enjoyed the pool table and basement area. It was perfect place to just relax and get time with all of our kids and grandchildren. Property manager was awesome very helpful and accommodating to our needs.

This house isn't anything fancy, but is has everything you need. And there is LOTS of space. I was really impressed with house clean it is, and the back sitting areas are so lovely. Two families with several children each fit very comfortably in the house. Looking forward to next time!

We did not realize it was so far out from Montague/Whitehall. Roosevelt road (dirt) was horrible to drive on. The house was very stuffy/musty smelling when we arrived. Had to wash pots and pans to use them. Carpet is very dirty. The whole place could use a good cleaning.

A nice weekend in a quiet setting

We stayed for a weekend with our friends’ family, and it was relaxing and big enough for everyone to stretch out and play outside. There is a pool table in the basement which was great, and the deck out back was a nice hangout spot. Overall, very nice! And of course, going to Lake Michigan for a sunset was wonderful.

Long weekend with 3 families of 4. House had enough rooms and hang out areas so that we weren't all constantly in each other's space. Beautiful view from back deck and close to Lake Michigan beaches and options for family friendly activities. Happy memories!

Mike is a great host and his Montague Property is lovely!

Mike was very responsive each time I reached out to him. He went above and beyond to provide places to visit while staying at his home. The house was clean and full of amenities! I recommend it to anyone looking for a fun family vacation or even just a quiet, private place to stay and look at a gorgeous view! The beds were comfortable, the entertaining areas and kitchen had everything we needed, and he price was so reasonable!

Awesome setting

I loved the privacy of the but yet just close enough to silver lake and all we wanted to do!:) we went for my 40th birthday and it was relaxing but fun for the kids!:) we had a great stay with all we needed in the home! Great place to stay!:)

Beautiful home and so spacious! Beds were so comfortable, home was clean and updated! We had nothing to want for at this property! We are already planning our next trip! The golf courses close were great and short drive to alot while being nicely secluded!

House in the woods

It was a great gathering place with wonderful outside space. There is air conditioning and a large inside space as well. Teenagers enjoyed the pool table downstairs and we also had a fun time in the yard playing games and enjoying the fire pit. It was a bit of a walk to the beach, but it is through the woods and the woods are BEAUTIFUL. The cabin is an older property, but very usable and created a wonderful atmosphere for our family time together

I have been going to this property for more than 50 years and enjoying the area and am always amazed at the beauty of this shoreline area and all of the things to do here.

Why they chose this property

The Lake Michigan shoreline between Muskegon and Traverse City has been described as "the most scenic recreation shorelines on the Great Lakes."

Almost 60 years ago, the National Parks Service conducted a survey that identified the most important shoreline locations for conservation. Flower Creek Dunes was listed alongside places like Sleeping Bear Dunes and Arcadia Dunes. I have another property 3 BR/ 2 bath close by this one Beachfront VRBO # 322524 that could be rented together.

What makes this property unique

In 2012, the Land Conservancy took the first steps in protecting these special dunes by creating the 14 Acre Flower Creek Dunes Nature Preserve. Since then the it has been doubled in size by recent gifts. This property is just upstream from this Nature preserve that is on Lake Michigan. It is very easy to get to but not very well known by the general public at this time.
