It is located right in front of two Very loud trains that rattle the house. The sheets, linens, towels, and every single appliance was disgusting. The showers were gross and the pictures of the furniture don’t show the holes. The outside hadn’t been mowed in months. I called to get transferred. No answer. I asked for housekeeping and I was told they were not available. I never received the code to get in and was stuck outside until 1:15am! The floors are covered in hair. The washer and dryer barely work. I asked for a refund and called VRNO, I sent pictures and they agreed it was filthy. I was on a family vacation which turned into a nightmare. We paid to stay somewhere else. I’m disappointed in VRBO and lack of standards for a host. Do not stay there!
Perfect location for my needs, I would stay here again! Beds were very comfortable. The train tracks are quite close and run often but I really didn’t hear them much after the first night. It’s an old house with typical old house quirks but in good enough condition. Cleanliness could’ve been better. One of the kitchen drawers was full of some kind of root vegetable probably left by a tenant, the shower still had some hair on the back wall (a handheld shower head would make it easier to clean). Nothing that would keep me from staying again. BYOCoffee! My only real complaints would be that the backyard was not mowed (making it hard to pick up after my dogs) and someone had tossed their cigarette butts on the ground outside the back door (gross). Also, there’s a broken folding chair out there that just adds to the look of neglect in the backyard. The yard itself was perfect for someone traveling with pets. The fence had a couple of damaged places from trees or just general wear but in good enough shape that I wasn’t worried about my dogs getting out. There is a cover plate missing from a utility access on the driveway that is a significant trip hazard.
