About this property

Walk to the Downtown Harbor District and scenic watefront

A cozy room with a queen-sized bed and it's own private bath at When Pigs Fly Inn at the historic Frank A. Moss House, circa 1902. You'll be a block from the water and three blocks from Washington's Downtown Harbor District and waterfront. Park your car and never get in it again til you leave. Everything you'd want to do is within walking distance. Quaint shops, restaurants, and the waterfront await you. There's also a beautiful (and rare) estuarium one of only a handful on the east coast. You can walk there and learn about the eco-system where salt water meets freshwater as the ocean comes inland (or is it, as the river goes out to sea?) Come find out! Also, we have a cat, Milo. As friendly as he can be.

LInda and I looked all over North Carolina for a small beautiful town to settle in. We found what we were looking for in Washington, NC. Our home is just a block from the water and three blocks from the quaint Downtown Harbor District and public waterfront and docks. Sunsets there like you wouldn't believe. We bought a historic home that is on the Historic Districts walking tour and we want to share it. Hope you'll come stay with us. Those who have have really enjoyed it. We think you will, too.

Why they chose this property

We love being in a this stately home that is so much a part of the fabric of this history of this town. Frank Moss, who built the home, was a leader in the community who's family ties to the area run do. And such a great location. You can walk just about anywhere you'd want to the water, the just a short stroll away.

What makes this property unique

Walk anywhere! :-)
