Main floor provides cozy living area with wood fireplace, small and functional kitchen, and formal dining seats to 8 comfortably, 10 is doable. Patio off dining area with BBQ. Main floor has 3 piece bath with stand up shower. Second level offers cozy master with window seat and TV, Main Bath with jetted tub, second and third bedrooms. The top floor provides a great room for kids with 3 twins and one futon and a TV! Updated Bathrooms in November 2013 offer spa like relaxation after hitting the slopes. Bedding: King, Twins or King in second, Single Bunks in third, Fourth bedroom on top floor - 3 singles and futon.
You will find Main lifts of Whistler Village out the front and to the right and with the Upper Village lifts just across the street. Take the back route along Fitzsimmons Creek only steps from the quaint covered bridge to parking lot 1 and the mid Village entrance. (Note guests checking in must be 25 + aside from children with families due to insurance provider restrictions on our policy. )

Excellent spot!

We had the best time- this place was perfect for a bigger group with lots of options for sleeping arrangements and the location was impeccable. We would absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Whistler.

Visited Whistler for the first time with 9 friends. This place was perfect for the group. Clean with lots of space. Can’t beat the location. Owners were responsive throughout the stay. Very happy with our experience.

Amazing place with perfect location

Annual guy ski trip. It was our first time in Whistler and we loved our place. There were 7 of us total but it could have fit 10 comfortably, which was the original number of our group until a few had to drop out. The host was very accommodating and easy to get ahold of. The location was perfect. Walking distance to either lift on the mountain as well to all of the downtown area. Once we arrived, we didn’t get into our vehicle again until we left for the airport. If we come back, we will definitely stay at this place again. It’s going to be hard to beat for the next ski trip.

Thanksgiving trip

The property is in a great location. Very easy and walkable to get to both the upper and lower village. There were only 4 adults and one child in my group. I imagine if there were more adults it would have been pretty cramped in the kitchen as it is pretty small. It says it is a fully stocked kitchen however, there were no scissors, the can opener was broken and there were zero spices. Not even salt and pepper and no cooking oil either. They could also use some more plates and cups. I can’t imagine how fast you would go through all that stuff if there were more adults staying. If you plan on eating out for most meals I’m sure it would suffice. But we had a lot of our meals in the house. I did appreciate how many towels were given to us and that they were of substantial size. There was only one small hair dryer in the downstairs bathroom and it didn’t work. It did seem a little drafty in the living room in the evening and we ended up making a little presto log fire every night, which was fine. Overall we enjoyed the space, the location and the easy access to get into the property/the parking and would prob stay here again.

It had everything we needed for the duration of our stay with a couple of little extras included as a warm welcome. The actual house was very clean, plenty of towels available, kitchen had everything we required to make meals and the local supermarket wasn’t too far away to top up on supplies. The Gables was the perfect location for us - a quiet area but within easy walking distance between both the main ski villages/gondolas which was ideal as none of us had a car. Main bus stop area a short walk away from the house. We only used this once to take the children to the local swimming pool.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was fine. I would have preferred greater responsiveness from Destination Properties - many times I needed to follow them up regarding communication and messages - they were always polite and friendly, yet slow to respond or unresponsive. It would have been nice if they had checked in on us when we arrived to see if everything is ok - that didn't happen. It was clear they are just an intermediary booking agency and once you are booked in they sort of lose interest in you. However everything worked fine - it just would have been appreciated if there were some more care and attention, which there wasn't.The apartment was very clean and functional. Our biggest disappointment was the kitchen as the pots and pans and utensils were old and tired and need to be replaced - for a premium rental price this place needs to have great quality cooking appliances and that was not the case.The fireplace is not actually a fireplace with wood - instead it takes some man-made product.Great location and very clean which was great.Overall a 3.5 experience.

Situated in a beautiful wooded area just out of the village, Gables 17 set up feels just like your home away from home. It is warm, comfortable, spacious and relaxing after a long day of skiing. We would thoroughly recommend this as a premier place to stay when visiting Whistler. Every feature and appointment has been provided to help make this an A class experience To top it off, our a host Gillian was tremendous. She really is a terrific host who put the icing on the cake for our stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The heater didn’t work on first day of our arrival. No hot water at all after only two people shower with reasonable time. No parking, so our vehicle got towed even we parked in the parking spot and paid for the fine for $280, I think Gillian and Tanya got some relationships with towing company, they never pick up the phone when we reported no heater and hot water(when we call on 4pm in the afternoon ), but call the towing company so quick and immediately. Also, the most disappointed thing is Tanya is not a nice/ kind person, she used some racist words during the conversation we had in the phone. If you would like a peaceful and nice vocation, I do recommend not booking their unit.
