This is a beautiful rustic cabin and the hosts seem committed to making it a wonderful comfortable place to stay. We and our dogs felt welcome and enjoyed walking by the river and bird watching from the deck. It was a lovely location off the beaten path, but not far from Elon University and towns. We were a bit surprised by the neighborhood dogs that wandered free and came to visit regularly, but they were friendly.

Wonderful place to stay for our family Christmas! The host was very communicative about their expectations and when we had questions. Beautiful property that we would love to go back to in the summer. Beds were super comfy too. Kitchen was well stocked and loved the gas stove and oven.
They even had a Christmas tree set up for us. Above and beyond!

I will start with the positives! The location is very close to Elon University and we were there with another couple visiting our daughter. The cabin is very private and we liked using the propane fire pit table on the porch. Unfortunately, that’s all the positives I can name. I communicated our experience with the property manager/owner and he quickly said they would address all of the issues. The house was just not clean and there was a layer of dust on surfaces and windows inside and outside. The screened porch was covered in pollen…and the living room sofa cushions were all outside when we got there. The coffee creamer provided was spoiled. Most of the rooms had numerous light bulbs missing or not working. One of the sinks upstairs was clogged. The basement is damp and there was a huge (hand sized) spider on the wall. -brown recluse. Only three ping pong paddles. All interior and exterior doors were clawed terribly. Two wild dogs roamed the property and barked the whole time we were there. I honestly can’t believe at least the cleaning fee wasn’t refunded to us. I sent pictures of all of this to back up what we experienced.
