8/10 Good

An excellent property in beautiful and extensive grounds.
We chose this property because it was in the area of Spain that we wanted to visit and it was wheelchair accessible. We met the owner in a nearby town and he escorted us to the villa. We were delighted with our first impressions but very quickly realised that my wheelchair could not get into either of the bathrooms. This was a major problem as it appeared that I would be unable to use a toilet or shower for two weeks - impossible! After further investigations my husband found that if he took off the door of the more possible bathroom and I removed the armrests and footrests from my chair I could just squeeze in. There were further problems getting into the shower which I won't go into, suffice it to say that this part of my holiday was made extremely difficult. Also my wheelchair caused unavoidable damage to the bathroom door frame, which made me feel guilty. Many wheelchair users are able to walk for short distances which would enable the to use the bathrooms in this villa but for those like me who can neither walk nor stand it is imperative that this is made clear in the description exactly what level of accessibility the property has. Apart from the above we had a wonderful holiday. The weather was perfect, the scenery spectacular from coast to mountains, the people friendly, the towns and villages varied and interesting and the many cultural and historic sites fascinating.
