We had a great time enjoying the house and sunsets on the deck. The communication with the host was easy as he was very quick to respond. Can’t wait to be back!
Overall great experience. The communication with owners was easy and helped out with any questions we had. There was plenty of room for everyone's enjoyment and sleeping situation. It is located on a perfect spot on the lake to take in great views and watch amazing sunsets. We really enjoyed our stay and the ability to rent the boat as well was a huge plus for us. Highly recommend!
The outdoor space was just what was needed for the warm vacation days! Plenty of parking, and space relax. Owner was very responsive, and the house was nice and clean.
We loved our time here! Very clean, great location, and Brian was responsive to answer all of our questions. We had a great time on the lake. Highly recommend
Loved our stay! We practically lived out on the deck - enjoying the activity on the lake and the gorgeous sunsets. The home was well appointed and very clean. Brian was amazing!
Our group was 3 generations and there was something for everyone to enjoy. Beautiful views, easy and convenient access to the lake and pontoon, plenty of space for all, and Brian was very kind and accommodating. This house, town, and experience is one for the memory books!
We booked this home for a reunion with longtime friends and it was absolutely perfect. The house is spacious, clean, and super well-equipped — from the fully stocked kitchen to the game room and comfy bedrooms. The big deck and lake views were unbeatable. We loved kayaking, lounging on the pontoon, and gathering each night for meals and laughs. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax, but also come together. The host was responsive and thoughtful, and everything was exactly as described. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot to reconnect and make new memories.
This was a classic Wisconsin lake experience and the pontoon boat is a must. The deck is gorgeous and the whole house is very comfortable. Our extended family of 10 could spend time both together and apart. It was very fun to kayak and pontoon into town or to the sandbar to swim!
We stayed here with three generations of our family — grandparents, adult kids, and grandkids — and it was the perfect setup. The house had plenty of space for everyone, and the layout made it easy to spend time together while still having some quiet moments. The kids loved the game room and kayaks, the adults enjoyed relaxing on the deck with lake views, and the grandparents appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and well-equipped kitchen. We also rented the pontoon boat, which was a huge hit for sunset cruises and lake adventures.Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. The host was helpful and welcoming from the start. It’s hard to find a place that works for every age group, but this one did — and we made memories we’ll never forget.
This was the perfect spot for our family. Everything exceeded our expectations. No surprises. Everything in excellent working order. Great views of the lake. Kitchen well stocked for food prep. The beds were so comfortable.
We will be back if available.
We had a small family reunion at Brian's Lake Retreat and it couldn't have been better. The house was nicely updated and was stocked with everything we didn't think of bringing :) for our stay. The boathouse had tons of lake toys, kayaks, paddleboards, floats, etc that everyone had a great time with on the water. I would also highly recommend the pontoon rental, the boat was a great way to spend the day or evening on the water. Overall I would highly recommend and we will be back here next year.
Perfect Family Getaway on the Lake — Already Planning Our Return!
As a dad of three kids and the planner of our annual summer getaway, I can honestly say this lake house exceeded every expectation. We spent a full week here with our extended family and a few close friends, and it was the perfect mix of relaxation and fun.The house itself is incredibly spacious — we never felt on top of each other, even with a full group. The bedrooms were comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully laid out, giving everyone their own space. The kids loved the lower level rec room and slept like rocks after days spent in the water and running around outside. The kitchen was a huge plus. As the designated grill master and occasional breakfast cook, I appreciated how well-stocked everything was — plenty of dishes, spices, cookware, and even a few “just in case” items we’d forgotten. We enjoyed family meals on the big deck almost every evening, taking in the view as the sun set across the lake. The outdoor space is where this home really shines. The pier, kayaks, and optional pontoon rental were all put to good use. We fished with the kids in the morning, kayaked in the afternoon, and ended most days with a sunset cruise. The hosts even provided life jackets and games, which made things easy and fun for all ages.
This location was wonderful. The upper porch looked out on the lake with enough furniture that everyone was comfortable. The lower porch had plenty of shade when it was needed and I was almost disappointed that it didn’t rain because it would have been a fabulous place to enjoy a storm. The 7 of us slept very comfortably on beds without using any of the 3 pull-out mattresses that were available. The cottage exuded traditional family cottage feel, and when the grandparents visited we comfortably sat 11 for dinner. The kitchen was well provisioned (with the single exception of a cheese grater). We rented the pontoon boat and made good use of the kayaks. It was so lovely and peaceful. We enjoyed the water-ski show on Thursday at the lakeside park and were fortunate to be there during the Taste of Lake Country festival. It remained quiet at the house even during the festival. We had a young train enthusiast with us and he was delighted to dash out to the porch whenever a train whistle sounded, to watch the train pass on the opposite side of the lake. The distance to the tracks over the water made it only a pleasant sound rather than an annoyance. Only downside at all was the stairs to the water were a bit difficult for the elderly- it was truly a wonderful week.
Home was meticulously clean and very well stocked. We bought our groceries for daily meals but spices, cleaning items, towels (including beach towels), lots of games and kids toys were all there for us. Views from the deck are breathtaking!!! Lots of comfy furniture out there and lots of memories made.
As described there are lots of stairs - 1 flight to get to main level of house, 1 flight to lowers level, and about 2 more flights down to water’s edge but for the view it’s a good trade off. We rented their pontoon boat for the week and it was wonderful. Only disappointment was our 7 year old grandson had been able to tube behind the one we rented last year and this contract forbid that. Easily solved by renting one for an afternoon from the marina.
Probably 2 weeks next summer as we love Pewaukee Lake!
Met here to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday and we had a wonderful time. The deck was amazing and we loved using the pontoon boat. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. We left something at the house and he mailed it back to us by Fedex. Highly recommend staying here!
Great location, great home owner, great experience!
Brian is an exceptional home owner. This was the first time we used VRBO and Brian made it so, so easy. We have 4 young boys and they absolutely loved the home…they loved the great fishing…and they loved the pontoon boat experience. We had not ever been on Pewaukee lake, but this won’t be our last time. The downtown (which is less than 2 miles away) had wonderful restaurants.
Thank you, Brian, for everything!!!
