Beautiful location and home! My friends and I had a wonderful weekend celebrating our 25th reunion together and the house could not have been more perfect. Plenty of space and privacy and the house is clean and equipped. We loved it so much we are thinking of making this an annual trip!
The host was very helpful with any questions I had. The house was well stocked with linens and kitchen items. Coffee pot had moldy coffee filter with coffee grounds in it prior to us using it. Some of the mattresses were quite worn and probably should be replaced.Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would stay again if we are in the area.
We had a lovely stay at this cabin, which now has an amazing wrap-around deck. The home had all the amenities we needed and it was very quiet and relaxing. And Deborah, the owner, was easily reached when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house. We look forward to staying again.
Nice secluded property. Very spacious inside and the new wrap around covered porch was very usable, even during heavy rain. Really convenient to Bear Creek lodge for the event we were attending also. Communication was great.
We would do it again for sure.
The cabin is well maintained and cleaned. Access was really easy. There was good communication. The cabin is really quaint with a warm, welcoming vibe. We would stay there again!
Booked this wonderful property conveniently located w/i 1/2 mile of Bear Creek Mountain Resort. The photos really do not capture the quaint beauty of this modern cabin. The cabin was more lovely than the ad phots suggest and suited our vacation needs perfectly. And the host, Debbie, was attentive to make our stay even more enjoyable. We cannot rave enough about this property.
This beautiful cabin in the woods is perfection! The wooded 3 acres are serene and it has a sunset view. The rustic cabin decor gives it a peaceful but comfortable feel. All the amenities are provided and the Wi-Fi is dependable. This was our second visit and we hope to make it an annual family event!
The description of the cabin was exactly as we found it on check in. It was spotlessly clean, and meticulous attention paid to decor, nice mix of antiques and other pieces. We needed nothing as far as kitchen utensils, glassware etc.
Beds are comfortable kitchen and dining room spacious enough for eating, socializing and just hanging out with friends and family. The great room was just that, lots of room, comfortable couches, and the bar is a great touch.
We got rained out so we couldn’t enjoy the outside fireplace, but would have certainly used it. Overall the cabin was warm, cozy, clean, well stocked. We would certainly go back!! A great time had by all in our party!
When we arrived the heat was broken. We texted the property owner with no response. They finally got the heat working on day two in the afternoon.
In addition there were a lot of little things wrong with the property. Coffee maker doesn't work, toaster was broken, recliner chairs were extremely uncomfortable (springs sticking you in the bottom) shower head in the bathroom was ancient.
The owner offered us a late checkout for our inconvince but when we asked for a partial refund for the heat she gave us some bs that she couldn't do anything because blah blah blah. Now I need to dispute the charge through the credit card company.
This place is not worth the hassle, pick one of the other beautiful properties in the area.

Hi Eric, we're sorry that this beautiful home did not exceed your expectations. After talking with the homeowner, they would like to share the following:
- I apologize again that the heat stopped working during your stay. There were no issues with it before your arrival, and unfortunately, I was asleep when you first texted about it late at night.
- I contacted a service tech immediately the next morning, and I'm glad they were able to have it fixed within a few hours.
- I hope that the firewood, space heaters, and electric blankets provided helped keep you warm in the meantime.
- There are three different coffee makers in the home, and I confirmed that all are working.
- Thank you for letting me know that two of the bread slots weren't working in the six-slot toaster. I have purchased a new one.
- The showerhead works well though the handle must be pulled out. I am always available to assist if guests have trouble with that.
- I have not received any other complaints regarding the sofa, but I will inspect that to ensure it is still in great condition.
I look forward to hosting many more five-star stays here. The cabin is 100 years old, and most guests appreciate its' authentic condition and amenities.
I had a wonderful time at this cabin. It's very nice and cozy surrounded by a beautiful yard and woods. Many essentials were stocked inside. I would love to return again.
We enjoyed our stay at this cabin in the outskirts of Macungie PA. We found everything clean, check in/out was super easy, and the kitchen is well-supplied with everything we needed. There is a nice sound system (you will need to change some settings on the the TV to select "External Speaker") if you want to watch a movie. It is very quiet, and there is interesting wildlife that peeks out periodically, like an owl, a groundhog, and various jays and woodpeckers. Our only small complaint is that the smallest room (with the pullout bed) tended to get much colder than the others even when the AC was only running intermittently.
Interactions with the property are managed by a company and the service fees associated with booking it reflect that.
Lots of space, trees and green views. Nice to have coffee outside and listen to the birds. The cabin is so interesting, well-appointed and comfortable!
