About this property

This apartment is modern and tastefully laid out to suit the solo traveler, groups or families to a maximum of four persons. It is located on the lower level of the building.

Our place is centrally located in a culturally, vibrant neighbourhood where you have easy access by public transport, the beach, restaurants, bars and shopping. You get amazing views of the capital, the marina, the mountains and the sea. Night time views are equally lovely.

There are two air-conditioned, en suite bedrooms. A queen sized bed in one and two single beds in the other. There is also a sofa bed in the living room. There is a full kitchen equipped with a full sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, gas cooker, toaster cutlery and crockery. Please not there is no dining table indoors. A decent sized wooden deck awaits you outside with an outdoor patio set so you can just lounge with friends or family, have your coffee, cocktails or dinner.

Casa Calypso's central location allows the traveller to explore those areas that are close by, some by foot, if you so choose. These will include shopping, local and international eating places, rum shops, beach, to name a few. A rented vehicle is always a bonus, however a 5 minute walk to the Kirani James Boulevard will grant you access to public transport on the 'No.1' bus which plies the Grand Anse - St.George's route. Otherwise, taxi service can be pre-arranged.

My neighbourhood has a local flair so it is not uncommon to have a buzz emanating from the area. There are a few local rum shops that might be playing music, you may sometimes hear the tooting horns of vehicles driving on the Boulevard or even the horn from the cruise ship signalling departure. No two ways about it, you can have a relaxing holiday here, but you will be entertained.

Nearby places to visit include the Grenada Yacht Club, Port Louis Marina, the Grenada Golf Course and Hyde Park Tropical Garden. Quite a few social options available if you wish to experience the local rum shops and local cuisine, or if you prefer the international options.

Amazing,nice, very clean, great location.
Was amazing. Thanks so much to Lindy and Tony for renting your apartment to me. Definitely enjoyed my stay . The apartment was very clean , great size rooms and bathrooms. Bed and pillows was very comfortable . The view on the deck was gorgeous . Was very happy to wake up to that view every morning. Close to supermarket about a 5 minutes walk. Easy access to the bus , which can take you into town or the beaches and bars . The kitchen have everything you basically will need . From plates , pots , cups , coffee maker etc .. the only thing I can say is I thought I was renting a 3 bedroom but it was really a two bedroom was a little disappointed but my family and I made it work …overall it was worth the money and the stay ..

Little gem in St George’s
Thank you Tony and Lindy! What a special spot. Our hosts were excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. The view from the deck is gorgeous and having your meal, whilst looking down on Port Louis Marina and the picturesque town of St. George, a rare treat. The apartment is well appointed with all you need to be very self sufficient. Foodland is just down the hill 3-5 minutes walk away and public transportation easy to access. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend this little gem.

Wir hatten 4 schöne Wochen auf der Insel Grenada und hatten eine wunderschöne Wohnung mit allem Comfort. Der Blick vom Balkon auf den Hafen und die Stadt St. George`s ist hervorragend. Lediglich die laute Musikberieselung des nahen Rumausschanks störte die Harmonie. Die netten Vermieter waren hilfsbereit, die Wäsche wurde einmal gewechselt. Die Fahrt zum Strand mit dem Minibus muss man erlebt haben. Der nahe Lebensmittelmarkt ist über einen kurzen abenteuerlichen Weg zu erreichen. Wir würden bei unserem nächste Urlaub auf Grenada wieder diese Unterkunft wählen.

V good value with a lovely view from the balcony across the marina to St George's
Well stocked apartment. 5 of us stayed but it's ideal for 4. The taxi we booked for our return to the airport didn't arrive and Lindy quickly sorted out a replacement. Excellent service!

We are a husband and wife team from different backgrounds. I am Trinidadian and he is British. We share a love of food, music and all things cultural. The beautiful island of Grenada has been our home for the last three years. We enjoy being in Belmont because we prefer to feel the true spirit of Grenada and of course have the convenience to all surrounding places and activities. We live on the property so we are there to assist as needed.

Why they chose this property

We prefer living in the south of the island simply because it is just the two of us living here and felt no need to go anywhere too remote. We both have a preference for being anywhere that is under 30 minutes. It might seem ludicrous, especially with Grenada being such a tiny island. However, you quickly get adjusted to the environment and we chose to live a quasi city life. We enjoy al fresco dining because where we are offers such an amazing view, especially when you get that cool breeze blowing. Also, Casa Calypso is in a central location where you are still able to get around quite easily without a vehicle.
