We absolutely loved our stay at The Black Cabin. It was clean, beautiful and had everything we needed for an amazing weekend. Diana was incredibly kind and responsive. I have already recommended the property to friends & family, and will be returning soon!
We really enjoyed our stay. The house had so many extra and thoughtful things. Little cold and unable to enjoy the outdoors, but we had a really great time just staying inside and enjoying family in a beautiful home.
Great stay! Great house. Exactly as advertised. Amenities were nice. Host was responsive.

Liked: Cleanliness, communication
Disliked: Check-in, location
The place was nice, however, when we first arrived, we had to get our parking pass at the welcome center. That was the worst experience ever!!! We waited for 2 hours to get the pass. There is definitely a better way to run this part of the entry to the community with all of the technology we have today. Then, in the unit, there were only 4 forks, no butter knives, no trash can or hand soap in the downstairs bathroom. There also were no potholders. Plenty of pots, but they are all in a corner cabinet that no one can see or reach. The cabin was aesthetically pleasing, but due to the above, we will never be back.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you found the cabin aesthetically pleasing, and we’re sorry that parts of your stay fell short of expectations.
We completely understand how frustrating a long wait at the welcome center can be. Unfortunately, the parking pass process is managed by the community and outside of our direct control, but we do share guest feedback with them and agree there should be a more efficient system in place, especially during busy holiday times.
Regarding the items inside the cabin, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We have since reviewed the kitchen and bathroom inventory to ensure essential items such as utensils and soap are clearly accessible and fully stocked for future guests.
We truly value feedback like this, as it helps us improve the experience for future stays. While we regret that your visit did not meet your expectations, we appreciate you staying with us and sharing your perspective.
We had a great stay at the Black Pocono Cabin! It was beautiful and exactly as pictured. The separation of rooms was great for us. My husband and I had the main floor to ourselves while the teens had their space. The hot tub was hot and clean and while, yes, you can see the other houses from the hot tub, there are plenty of trees to give you a sense of privacy. The mini beach by the lake was lovely! We were able to get some beautiful family photos lakeside. There was a long line at check-in at 9pm on a Friday but the line moved quickly. We only had to present the car registration and driver’s license for our pass. In and out!The kitchen sink wasn’t draining properly but the host was so speedy in her response. Ordered a delivery of drano and was securing a plumber to address the issue. It is the wilderness, so insects and deer abound! The spiders weren’t my favorite, so make sure you double check your room before going to bed!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review and added photos. We would love to have you stay with us again in the future!
The check- in process was a bit long but that’s not in the host’s control, who was really detailed & hands on throughout the whole process. The top bunk in the shared room wasn’t useable due to the ceiling height, so I suggest rearranging & some dishes in the cabinet were dirty. Overall the stay was good & I would recommend.
