About this property
1 Mile from Helen Ga - Porches, Pool Table, Hot Tub, Fire Place & Fire Pit
Welcome to our Helen, Georgia Farm House. Tucked away in the mountains of northern Georgia, it is a very quaint, single-level home with a detached Bunk House. This property is also known as the old Taylor home place and has been in our family for four generations. It is located one mile north of Helen in the community of Robertstown. Our home has three bedrooms, two baths, a natural stone gas fireplace, a carport, a covered front porch, a screened porch, and a covered deck. It sleeps eight people and is perfect for cookouts, reunions, and family get-togethers of all kinds. A fire pit is available out back and is perfect for cooking those late-night s’mores that are so scrumptious. Wi-Fi and streaming TV are included.
Our Bunk House has two double bunks, two single bunks, and a full bathroom so it is perfect for children who want a bit of freedom and the thrill of sleeping in a Bunk House like old times. It sleeps six.
The Chattahoochee River is only a hop, skip, and a jump away. Take chairs, floats, and fishing rods ¼ mile down the hill to enjoy. The Chattahoochee Cheese Market is also located there and sells cheese, bakery items, and mountain spirits.
Unicoi State Park and Lodge is a mile away. The 53-acre Unicoi Lake has a beach, cookout facilities, campsites, kayaks, paddleboats, canoes, and zip lines that are all popular attractions.
If you are interested in tubing down the Chattahoochee River, Cool River Tubing is approximately a mile and one-half away in Helen. In addition, Helen offers a water park, miniature golf, and its very own roller coaster – Georgia Mountain Coaster. While in Helen, don’t forget to buy some delicious chocolate at The Hansel and Gretel Candy Kitchen or to visit Betty’s Country Store for some ole timey food items you had forgotten about. You’ll be glad you did.
Waterfalls are in abundance in the area. Of particular note are Anna Ruby Falls and Duke’s Creek Falls.
After a busy day of hiking, biking, horseback riding, tubing the Chattahoochee, or shopping, come home and relax with a glass of wine on one of the three porches. If you decide to cook out, a grill is provided. When it's time to go to bed, turn on your ceiling fan and drift off to sleep under a blanket surrounded by cool mountain air.
This vacation will certainly be a memory-maker. Come find out what we mean.

Hot tub was great! The pool table was excellent for everyone! We loved it! It was perfect for our Christmas get together! We loved the farmhouse ! It was very cold so we stayed inside a lot! We would love to go there again!
This place worked out great! The property manager was very helpful. We enjoyed the house and bunkhouse so much. It is the perfect location in Helen. We enjoyed hotdogs and s’mores at the fire pit and dips in the hot tub. It was such a great place!!
This was a great place to get away with family for Thanksgiving. Nice, pet friendly older farmhouse on the outskirts of Helen, GA. Even though the internet and cell service were limited we enjoyed our stay and it forced the grandkids to spend more time with us around the fire pit.
We stayed for a long weekend with family and truly enjoyed our time at the property. It had plenty of space for our family of 6 and even had an extra cabin with bunkbeds that we didn't need to use. The kitchen worked out for us and the living area was pleasant. The location of the house was perfect. Not too close to Helen where Oktoberfest was going on, but close enough for an easy drive, maybe 5 minutes, if that.
This place was awesome , so much space , indoor and outdide ! We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful vacation home !! We will come back Thank you Dana and Dave Lauterbach
We used to live in the area and came up to visit family and friends for the holiday. The house was perfect for our family/friend Christmas gathering. Great location cute house with everything you need, except wifi. Would definitely stay again.
Plenty of room for guests and very easy to get to and from Helen. Shawn was very responsive when we had questions and was very helpful. The bunk house was an added plus and help creates more room for more people.

A nice and cozy stay
The place was as described. It was spacious, with enough rooms for everyone. The location was very good, it was close to the center of Helen and it was easy to get in and get out. The screened porch was also a plus. Overall it was of great value.
We arrived to a charming old country decorated home. The home was clean and beds comfortable. We had an amazing time in the home and enjoyed watching the wild turkeys grazing in the yard. We had an amazing 5 days at Helen and hated to leave.

Loved the character of this old house
We had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed staying here. There was plenty of room and the history of this house was amazing. The porches were awesome and the location was perfect. Close to town but quiet neighborhood. The bathroom in the bedroom is somewhat small, but doable. Can’t wait to go back and will definitely stay again. ❤️
Families from California, Missouri, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and South Carolina stayed at this lovely farmhouse. We gathered here just a step outside of busy Helen to sleep peacefully and enjoyed the quiet. This home had many, many spaces available for separate talks among the family and also large spaces for when we all were together laughing.

Comfortable in close quarters
Main house master bedroom was interesting to stay in to say the least as we experienced something that caused goosebumps and my dogs to freak out. We ended up staying in the bunk house because of the ghostly experience we had in the master. Besides that the house and overall experience was good.

Older Home in Great Location
We had a great time in Helen and the owner was very easy to reach when needed. The location was wonderful and close to everything in town. We realize it is an older home and that's fine, but there were several broken items that need to be repaired or just removed: foosball table, wobbly dining chairs, lamps, stool. It would be really great with some minor updating - old curtains and bedspreads need replaced. Otherwise, it was a great space with plenty of room for a family.
Shawn was incredible to work with. There was a burst pipe (weather related) when we arrived but her team took care of everything and we were able to stay with no problems. The house is comfortable and we had all the amenities needed to cook meals (fyi - there is no food delivery we found out the hard way :)). The porch was a relaxing place to sit and the fire pit out back was cozy. We did not use the cabin but if we had teenagers they would have loved it.
We had a great family Christmas at the house! Plenty of room! All the things we needed to cook with- even measuring spoons and cups!
The internet and phone service were horrible though, just be warned. None of iour 8 different plans of Verizon tower phones could get any signal, but my granddaughters ATT did work fine. The tv worked well too and had many premium channels to keep the kids occupied… but they loved the tire swing and yard more!
Overall it was pretty cool and old time homey and Helen was beautifully decorated for the holidays!!💜
Homey, comfortablle space and lovely screened in porch
The place was very charming with that old farmhouse feel. The pool table was a hit. The screend in porch was very nice. We loved the yard and the fire pit. We have a visit from a flock of turkeys. The kitchen had a lot of stuff but could use an update to cull out some of the outdated well used pots and pans, glasses, cups, plates, there were no bowls. We had to go out and buy plasic bowls and a can opener. We left the can opener for future guests. Otherwise, the place was very much like home, comfortable with a lot of space for us, our pups, and our adult kids. We enjoyed our stay there very much.
