Nestled in the quiet village of Ghasri with panoramic valley views, but no more than a 5 minute drive to the capital, Victoria, Dar tal-Kaptan offers a nurturing, tranquil and idyllic sanctuary to re-generate and re-invent yourself.

Inhabiting a 400 year old farmhouse with unique architectural features, and converted to a high standard residence offering comfort, charm and relaxation, Dar tal-Kaptan features 4 themed suites, all with their own bathroom, private lounge area and outdoor terraces with fantastic views. Each exquisitely decorated suite has a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a toaster, a hairdryer, air-conditioning, heating and fans, wi-fi access, cable TV, a DVD player, complimentary toiletries and towels. Lighthouse Foodstore is just a 10-minute walk away.
This home exudes warmth and sensuality with its eclectic collection of art, sculptures, paintings and books.

Colonial cool and winter warmth....
Arched vaults, limestone flagstones original Maltese and Gozitan artwork, stone niches and cane colonial furniture combine to ensure that your stay in this suite is as tranquil and stress free as can be. An annexe (which can be cordoned off to accommodate an extra bed and increased privacy) features a lounge and dining area plus access to two terraces with pool and sheltered valley views.

Our Tranquillity suite can sleep two-three people. There are two beds which can stand alone as two single beds or one double bed. There is a walk-in ensuite shower and an annexe with a single bed (which can be cordoned off for privacy) with a seating/dining area featuring a sofa and kitchenette opening onto two terraces with country views.
During your stay you will be able to make use of our outdoor pool and jacuzzi, sauna, book and DVD library, 2 communal kitchens, wifi throughout the property, garden and bar-b-que area and several lounge areas.

We have friendly garden cats.
Check-in is from 3 pm, and check-out is at 10 am (depending on host availability). Alternatively, you may check in using a key code. We would appreciate it if you could kindly let us know your approximate arrival time at your earliest convenience.

Hosting and providing a nurturing, re-energising and playful, positive environment is what we have both always done in our respective homes in our free time. Therefore opening our doors to you is a natural extension of our innate lifestyle.

The Maltese Islands have always prided themselves on their openness, friendliness and tolerance, something of a survival skill that came hand in hand with centuries of colonial rule.
