Anchors Away is a beautifully designed 3 bedroom, 2 bath beach house in the heart of Crystal Beach, offering comfort, space, and family‑friendly amenities in a quiet, walkable location. The home features two king bedrooms—one a private master suite with a classy tile walk‑in shower and rain shower head—and a third bedroom with two twin‑over‑full bunk beds, perfect for kids or groups. The second bathroom includes a convenient tub/shower combo, and a stackable washer/dryer makes longer stays easy.

The open living area provides comfortable seating and Roku TVs, while the well‑equipped kitchen includes granite countertops, stainless appliances, K‑Cup style and automatic drip coffee makers, and everything needed for cooking (except food and seasonings). Beds are made with fresh linens, and towels are provided for your stay.

Outside, guests love the fenced yard with a really nice play set, ideal for families. The shaded bar and grill area under the house offers a great spot to relax after a day at the beach, complete with a charcoal grill and plenty of space to gather. An enclosed outdoor shower and additional downstairs shower make rinsing off easy.

Great location. This house has it all. 3 bedrooms-2 baths, granite counter tops, stainless appliances, fully equipped kitchen with both Keurig-style and drip-style coffee pots, deck, and an entertaining area below the house with a charcoal grill. Big screen TV in the living area including ROKU. DO TO GERMS WE DO NOT THINK IT IS SAFE TO LEAVE SEASONINGS OR OIL, so please bring your own.
Master and 2nd bedroom have king sized bed. 3rd bedroom has 2 Twin over Full bunk beds. TVs have ROKU. Upstairs has DVD player.
Any rules that are not followed will constitute breach of agreement and you will be asked to leave with no refund.

Access to complete house and property

We have used our many years of experience of designing and building beach homes to design & build Anchors Away to accommodate our customers wants & needs. We did this so you will have an enjoyable vacation. We have done our best to make your stay as memorable as we possibly can. If you need us we are just a phone call away!

This house is minutes from all the shops and restaurants.

You will need a personal vehicle to get around. You are allowed to drive your vehicles on the beach. Of course, you can alway rent a golf cart and have fun while driving! If you park on the beach a parking permit is required (can be purchased for $10 at The Big Store).

Due to the height above ground we build, there is a little movement in the house.
Must be 25+ to book (no booking for someone else). Pets must be okay`d by owners prior to stay. There is a pet fee. Please include your pets when you book. Initial Pet Fee is for up to 2 pets, additional pets require an additional fee. Respect your neighbors. Noise ordinance after 10:30. Smoking allowed outside ONLY, and all cigarette butts must be put in provided butt cans. Any butts on the ground will result in additional cleaning fee. EV charging is not permitted. See our Rental Agreement for other rules.

We’re a family of builders from about 15 miles south of the Astrodome, and every home we rent is one we built ourselves. Our business is truly a family effort — Mike, Jean, Steve, Amy, and our grandson Alex — and we’ve been building homes since 1974.

For the past eight years, we’ve focused on short‑term rentals, managing only our own properties so we can maintain the quality, cleanliness, and care guests expect. We work hard to offer comfortable, well‑maintained homes at an affordable price, and we genuinely enjoy hosting great people.

Family is at the center of everything we do, whether we’re building, hosting, or snow skiing together, and we bring that same spirit into every stay we provide.

We chose the Anchors Away neighborhood because it offers the perfect blend of convenience, calm, and coastal charm. It’s an easy walk to stores, restaurants, the doughnut shop, and beach access, so everything guests need is close by without the noise of busy roads. With no direct car access to the beach on our street, the area stays quieter, safer, and more relaxed for families. We also chose this area because Bolivar Peninsula is unique. It still has the kind of coastal lifestyle that’s getting harder to find—slower pace that lets people unwind. Bolivar does get busy in the summer, especially on holiday weekends, and that lively energy is part of the fun. Even then, our street stays quieter because there’s no direct drive‑to‑beach access. Guests get the best of both worlds—easy access to everything while still having a peaceful place to come home to. We love that this area gives guests options: enjoy the activity of Crystal Beach or retreat to the calm of our quieter street whenever they want a break.

We appreciate that Bolivar offers plenty of space to spread out. Whether walking, driving a golf cart, or heading to the beach, it never feels overwhelming. The Gulf views, bay breezes, and friendly community make this part of Crystal Beach special.
