The nicest 1 bedroom VRBO on the planet. The view is amazing as well as the sunrises. So beautifully furnished. The owner is a designer and you can feel the love with her attention to detail and amenities. The owner spared no expense. I'm already planning my return. I love this place!

Patya, thank you for trusting us to take good care of you. We really enjoyed getting to know you and having you as our guest. You were the exact type of guest we love to host. We love getting to know our guests, and you were open to it. Magical. We hope to keep in touch and to host you again in the near future. Hopefully, you can convince your sister and father to visit Utah with you again and try The Reserve. Thanks again for keeping the place immaculate. All the best, Bya Patzner (you host and now your new friend)

We adored the location of the Loft and the stunning views from the deck. The unit is very spacious and has many unique features that my family loved. The yard is wonderful and my kids loved the swim spa and cold plunge. The generous host family really made our vacation memorable. We hope to return in the future.

The place was very nicely decorated and very clean. The downsides the office space WiFi signal is so weak you can’t work form there, so we had to work from the kitchen space and shuffle around the furniture a bit. The owner was not happy about this and said to not move things again to call them and they’ll do it or we’ll be liable for any damage…The space appears fully independent but there’s an internal door right into the owners living room and you can hear their calls, conversations, TV etc they can hear everything you say presumably too. It’s almost like sharing a living room with roommates which is disappointing given the luxury apartment feel generally. The countertop is a pain to use. You need to hold it open with one hand, not fully open though (see below) and load it with the other. My wife opened it fully and it smashed the glass door by pinching the stone countertop when fully opened. We agreed to pay (and did) since it was a genuine accident, but the owner was not thankful for our payment and when we shared what the repair technician said: that the countertop needed to be adjusted to prevent the same thing happening again she dismissed his opinion saying he didn’t know what he was taking about.

Daniel, thank you for staying with us for 34 days and for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re glad you found the Loft nicely decorated and very clean, and we’re sorry the Wi‑Fi signal in the office area did not meet your needs. Had we known during your stay, we would have gladly added a signal booster, and we will address this for future guests. Regarding furniture, our request not to move items is meant to protect guests from accidental damage charges and to make things easier—we are always happy to come up and adjust things ourselves. Since you were with us for an extended stay, we also provided complimentary weekly cleanings to help make your time more comfortable. The Loft is fully separate with its own private entrance. The interior lock‑off door exists solely for service and occasional family use. The unit was built with high‑quality sound insulation, but we appreciate your comment and will look into improving the door for better soundproofing. As for the top‑loading dishwasher, its door design is unfortunately not self‑supporting; this is a limitation we had already confirmed with the manufacturer. We appreciated your honesty in reporting the accident, and we worked to minimize costs by repairing rather than replacing the unit. We truly aim to make guests feel welcome and cared for, and we will use your feedback to continue improving. Warm regards, Bya Patzner, Host of The Loft

About the host

Host profile image
After years of raising our family across the globe, my husband and I settled in Salt Lake City in 2019, excited to finally put down roots. That transition sparked my passion for creating spaces that feel like home—beautiful, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed.

I’ve always believed that home isn’t where you’re from, but where you feel you belong. With that in mind, I began pursuing interior design and real estate with the goal of helping others feel grounded, comfortable, and cared for—no matter where they’re traveling from.

Today, hosting this short-term rental allows me to share that passion with guests. Every detail in the space has been intentionally curated to be relaxing, functional, and inspiring. It brings me real joy to provide a warm, stylish retreat where travelers can rest, explore, and create memories in this stunning corner of Utah.

Welcome—your stay means more to me than just a booking. It’s a chance to offer comfort, connection, and a sense of belonging.

Why they chose this property

This neighborhood was an easy choice: serene mountain views, direct access to trails, and a quiet cul-de-sac featured in the Parade of Homes. It offers the rare mix of tranquility and convenience—minutes from ski resorts, dining, shopping, and downtown Salt Lake. A perfect location for guests seeking a peaceful stay with endless things to do nearby.

What makes this property unique

This loft is part of Elysium at Gracey Lane—a designer-crafted home featured in the Parade of Homes—giving guests a rare blend of luxury, serenity, and intentional design. Unlike standard rentals, this space sits above a gully with unobstructed views of Lone Peak, daily wildlife sightings, and direct access to Brandon Park trails. Guests enjoy spa-level amenities, including a shared sauna, cold plunge, and swim spa, all wrapped in an organic-modern aesthetic created by a professional designer. With its peaceful cul-de-sac setting, multi-generational layout, and quick access to skiing, shopping, dining, and Salt Lake City, this retreat offers a level of beauty, calm, and craftsmanship you won’t find anywhere else.
