Family-friendly large home also great for girls' weekends and guy's getaways
*Don't forget to ask about our special “Sweetheart Rate” for two guests who would be using the master suite and kitchen/living area only.
You will be staying in a ranch house in the Texas Hill country. The home is large and is constructed of native stone. Inside is almost entirely tiled, with only the master being carpeted. You'll see cattle and pecans, both being huge parts of the local agri-economy. During spring-time, the wildflower of Central Texas put on a riotous show!
We have three bedrooms, all of which are named after pastures on the ranch. The spacious Master Suite "The Gage" boasts a king-size bed, with enormous picture windows looking out on the peaceful land and the sparkling lake. There is a seating area in front of the window where you can watch the sunrise, and is a peaceful place to read a book or just relax and bird-watch. The en-suite master bathroom includes a large walk-in shower, two vanities, and double walk-in closets. (Ask about our special sweetheart deal for two guests using the master suite, kitchen/ living areas only).
Both of the other bedrooms feature large windows as well. "The Kelly" and "The Ellis" both have comfortable queen size beds. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom. One bedroom has an attached bathroom with a full shower. The middle bedroom can access their own bathroom with tub directly across the hall, which is handicap-accessible.
There are also a couple of comfortable cots if they are needed, to enable separate sleeping arrangements.
The home features a living room, a dining room and bar area. Two grills (gas and charcoal) are available for your cookout, as well as a dining table on the porch that seats 6.
Internet is available to connect to the world and to stream movies and television shows on the new television in the living room.
Stargazers will delight in the darkness level (dark blue to grey on the darkness map) and the ability to see the Milky Way when it is available to be seen (no guarantees on clouds, though!).
There is a full kitchen, stocked with many of the spices, etc. that you may need to cook your own meals.
When staying at Three Sisters, all adults will get a complimentary wine tasting at Old Man Scary Cellars winery in town, and a special rate of $35 per hour at God's Hands. You must have the business card you receive at the residence to qualify.
Recent guest comment: This ranch house did not disappoint. When I booked it I thought we were just getting someone's house and was a little worried, San Saba isn't huge and I was not familiar with the area that this house is located. I was oh-so wrong! This house is located on a winding road and the neighbors are so far off you can't even see them, which is what we wanted. The scenery is picturesque. I literally saw deer outside of the kitchen window just grazing a stones throw away. The house itself is clean, laid out very nicely, and has a charm about it that draws you in.

This property is beautiful! We fished the pond and caught a 3lb Bass the first night. The house was rustic and very comfortable. We loved it! The host was very helpful and easy to work with! I highly recommend this for a weekend get a away!
Right on the edge of the hill country, this property was built for relaxation & serenity. We had a get together to celebrate our family & show my Floridian husband the beauty of Texas bluebonnets. Celia was fantastic in helping us get settled & responding to questions.
We highly recommend the 3 Sisters property.
This was a fantastic place to stay. Far enough outside of town to be very peaceful, but a quick drive to get to downtown San Saba. Celia was so friendly and helpful. The home was clean, and well maintained. We will definitely stay again when in the area. I can't say enough about how enjoyable it was. And the view out the front to the pond is spectacular in the evening.

Very relaxing!
We loved staying at Three Sisters Ranch House! Plenty of room for everyone. The large patio was the perfect place to drink our morning coffee while enjoying the view of the pond and rolling hills. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Beautiful updated bathrooms with granite counter tops. Looking forward to enjoying another relaxing weekend in the near future.
We arrived and check in was very straight forward and easy. The house is beautiful and spacious and the best part is there aren’t any neighbors for as far as you can see. There is a good sized pond on the property that has plenty of Bass in it. We had an issue with the WiFi and the host had it fixed the same day. Celia was wonderful and easy to communicate with. Overall, what a wonderful experience and I would 10/10 stay here again.
The house and grounds are amazing! Beautiful quite setting with a pond, birds and a great breeze. Inside the home is warm and cozy. Lots of space to hang out with family. Highly recommend! We will return! The host was very accommodating to our needs!
The property where the house sits is beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the patio overlooking the pond and hill. Lots of great bird watching. So nice and quite. The house was spacious and clean. We brought my dad to the area for his 90th and he is already talking about renting this place again.

About the host
Hosted by Celia Bell
Celia: I have lived in Texas my entire life, including Austin, where I was born and where I graduated from high school (and college! UT!) I've lived in the small Texas town of San Saba for over 25 years. I'm a retired teacher and want to share my love for this area with travelers everywhere. Abby: I'm a military kid and a military wife and have lived lots of places. San Saba is my favorite! The people are wonderful and I've made more friends here than in all the previous places I've lived! Celia is one of them, and I'm happy to help her manage this beautiful property.
Why they chose this property
Celia: My parents built this home back in the '80s for their retirement home. After they passed, I rented it out to families, but now have decided to "share the love" via HomeAway. I have enjoyed refurbishing the home, and it's still a work in progress! All new paint and granite in the bathrooms are just a few of the updates that have been made so far.
What makes this property unique
Quiet living on a rural ranch in nearly the geographical center of the State of Texas is heaven! Wildlife is abundant, along with wildflowers during the Spring. Enjoy the relaxing calm of fishing, or just sitting by the large pond, fully stocked with bass. We love San Saba and we know you will too!!!
