About this property
Smoky Mountain RR Polar Express Loft, minutes from GSM national park
Our Loft is perfectly situated overlooking the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad Steam Engine, in the heart of downtown Bryson City. Perfect for Polar express trips. 1King bed room , 1 Queen bed room, Kids room sleeps 5 with plenty of toys and books The loft overlook the polar express and is in walkable distance to local coffee shops, breweries, and boutiques, and restaurants. This is our last year offering this property for polar express season. It typically books out by mid/late October.
Guest will access the loft through the Black Iron Gate, then through the french doors on the right into our welcoming foyer. Through the arched doorway, guest's will find the main entry hall and stairs. The top of the stairs opens up to our expansive open concept living, dinning, and kitchen area. The open kitchen overlooks the living room, den, dining room and pool table. Our dinning room and living room comfortably seat 6 -8. We have an additional dining and play area tucked behind the main kitchen wall.
Our Queen guest bedroom with a private bathroom with a walk in shower, is accessible from the main living area. The remaining bedrooms and bathroom are down the hall behind the kitchen. The first bedroom to the left has a king bed and love seat and is located across the hall from the bathroom. The last bedroom on the left is our kids bedroom filled with plenty of toys, legos, and books. The kids room sleeps 5 with two sets of bunk beds, a twin/twin and a twin/double. The king bedroom and kids room have a bathroom on the same hall. The Queen bedroom has an in suite double head walk in shower. We typically keep a queen or king air mattress under the queen bed, occasionally during polar express season it gets damaged and takes us a minute to get a replacement.
This property is our primary residence. We occasionally open it up for polar express season and extended absences. the third floor and back portion of the main floor will be locked and off limits. The Maisonette listing for our fist floor unit is a separate listing and not accessible from the loft. During Polar Express Season the Loft and the separate downstairs unit each may use one of our reserved parking spaces.
Additional guest parking is restricted to street parking. All of the Lot parking spaces are private use for businesses and residences with parking leases. Our two spaces are the last two parking spaces in the lot next to textures salon. That allows for 1 car per unit in November and December. If you think someone from the other unit is taking 2 spots, please let us know. Street parking is also available, if you have more than 1 vehicle or the space is temporarily in use. Train tickets include parking. We recommend using their lot if available between 3-6pm when street parking is most congested.
Please contact us directly if you have any immediate or emergency issues checking in or during your stay, in app messages do not always come through.
