About this property

Enchanting 1-bedroom cabin in Ashford 5 miles from Mt. Rainier National Park

Welcome to Foxglove Hollow!

This spacious yet cozy mid-century modern cabin is only 5 miles from the Mt Rainier Nisqually entrance. It is privately situated adjacent to hundreds of acres of protected wilderness and offers both an authentic and yet unique mountain cabin experience. You will truly enjoy this "hollow in the woods"!

We are so pleased to welcome you to Foxglove Hollow!

This mid-century modern A-frame is beautifully situated just a few miles from the Mount Rainier National Park Nisqually entrance, along Skate Creek Road between Mount Wow, Mount Osborn, and the Sawtooth Recreation Area.

The cabin itself was built in 1964 with locally milled cedar and features an open beam ceiling rising to a cozy loft. It has been completely renovated and sleeps six. Two in the master bedroom with a king mattress and linens, two on the living room queen sleeper sofa, and two up in the loft where there is a "camp-vibe" all ages will enjoy. Check out the authentic vintage 1965 Mount Rainier Park map on the wall.

There is a groomed trail system on the property that began largely as wild game trails already in place. You can follow the white arrows or make your own way. Be sure to find "Howdy Bear" and take a selfie. Or, take the one mile cut-off trail to the stunning Nisqually River, passing through protected wild lands right from the back door. Keep your eyes peeled for deer and elk. There is a framed “map” hanging on the wall by the front door to take a picture of for reference ;).

Help yourself to berries from the berry patch in season or visit the greenhouse where we have created a rejuvenating tropical paradise. Let your cares melt away in this sensory experience as you breathe in the oxygen rich air and soak up the vitamin D.

We have provided for a fun and simple outdoor camp/food experience around the fire-pit. It's what our family enjoys so that is what we want to share. You will find everything you need including premium fire wood for your length of stay in the deck box out by the fire pit. There is also charcoal with a folding fire pit grill, and hot dog sticks to use located inside of the box as well.

When night falls, grab a blanket and head out back for s'mores, stargazing, and good conversation….or soak away the aches and pains of the day’s adventures in our jetted hot tub. After that, cozy up by the fireplace inside and find a good movie. Games, books, and puzzles available as well.

We know you will be both rejuvenated and refreshed here at our little "hollow in the woods" and we are honored to share it with you.

Enjoy your stay....at Foxglove Hollow!
