About this property

Georgia Dome-One and Only!

The Georgia Dome is the only monolithic dome home in the Atlanta area, uniquely nestled in Marietta. Originally discovered in April 2018 and chosen as an exclusive vacation rental, it quickly became a highly sought-after destination for adventure seekers, business professionals, military families, couples, and travelers of all kinds.

In 2024, new ownership brought fresh energy to the property. By April 2025, the Dome was transformed into a magical haven of art and design. With meticulous attention to detail, custom textures, hand-selected finishes, and permanently embedded artwork, every corner of the Dome now tells its own story. What began as a functional short-term rental has blossomed into an inspiring oasis—an enchanting space that captivates the senses and leaves every guest with lasting memories.

The Dome is located in a primarily Hispanic, working-class neighborhood in Marietta, Georgia, offering a blend of community character and convenience. Just two miles away lies Marietta Square, home to cultural landmarks like the Marietta Museum of History, the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre, the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art, the Gone with the Wind Museum, as well as charming shops, restaurants, and cafés. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy nearby Glover Park, Laurel Park, and the famous Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, a local favorite for hiking. The Dome is also four miles from Dobbins Air Reserve Base, 15 minutes from Truist Park (home of the Atlanta Braves) and the iconic Big Chicken, and just 16 miles from downtown Atlanta, where guests can explore the High Museum of Art, Georgia Aquarium, Centennial Olympic Park, the Fox Theatre, and vibrant dining and nightlife.

At times, military aircraft fly overhead from Dobbins Air Reserve Base. While brief and occasional, the sounds can be noticeable outdoors. Many guests, including us, enjoy these flyovers as a proud reminder of our support for the military, though we recommend keeping this in mind before booking.
Dogs are warmly welcomed—up to two per stay. The first dog stays free, and a $60 fee applies for a second. Please note, no other animals are permitted.

Why they chose this property

We did not choose the neighborhood—we chose the Dome. As the only monolithic dome in the metro Atlanta area, it immediately captured our imagination. We fell in love with its rare architecture and knew from the beginning that maintaining such a distinctive structure would be a challenge, especially given the limited expertise available in the region. Still, we were eager to learn and committed to the process. Beyond preserving the Dome’s uniqueness, we saw an opportunity to enhance it by creating an interior just as extraordinary as the architecture itself, blending artistry and design to reflect the Dome’s one-of-a-kind character.

What makes this property unique

What makes the Georgia Dome truly unique is that it is the only monolithic dome home in the metro Atlanta area. This rare architectural gem combines strength, energy efficiency, and timeless design, creating a space unlike any traditional home. Inside, the Dome becomes a living work of art, with custom textures, hand-selected finishes, and permanently embedded artwork that transform every corner into a story. Its open, airy design—with a loft under a shared ceiling—enhances the sense of space while maintaining a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Blending global inspiration with artistic detail, the Dome offers more than just a stay—it offers an unforgettable experience where architecture, creativity, and comfort meet.
