Cabin is better than the photos! We loved all the spaces we could relax in, even on the rainy days. View was great! It was Fall and the leaves were spectacular. Location is great. Loved the little town of Northville. Would book again!

It was cozy and comfortable. We loved that we could hear the river running when we were outside. It was very peaceful and quiet. We were sufficiently far enough away from city life. We highly recommend this cabin and hope to come back again in the future. It was exactly what we hoped for.

Beautiful cabin on the river.

The cabin was beautiful with everything we needed. It had really nice artwork that inspired me to draw. The front porch was relaxing and large enough to fit our group of 6. Cute town and a beach nearby. I would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed a lovely long weekend at this beautiful waterfront cabin. We went cross country skiing at Lapland (10 minute car ride) and snow mobile riding in Speculator (30 minute car ride). The weather was perfect and the cabin could not have been nicer. Clean, cozy, organized, perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at this home for girls weekend.

This property is very clean and comfortable. It’s in a very peaceful area right on the Sacandaga River. It has everything you need for your stay. We look forward to returning for our girls weekend next year. We highly recommend this property!

Cozy cabin, beautiful view

This was our sixth year at the Adirondack cabin. The cabin is exactly as pictured. We love how the front windows of the house face the river with no other houses in sight-it’s a fantastic view to wake up to each morning, especially after a snowfall. The layout of the bedrooms is great for our family of 3 (our daughter loves having the cute second floor all to herself) and would be equally great for a party of 6.

Peaceful escape

Don't hesitate to book this beautiful cottage. All the amenities you'd expect along with beautiful views. Perfect fall getaway. Relaxing evenings after dinner out at a local pub. Everyone we encountered were over-the-top nice people!

Love love love the home and most importantly the peace that came with the property, you can feel the stress and pressure just release as you listen to the river flow on by. I didn’t think my husband was ever going to leave the front porch unless it was an attempt to fish lol The home is amazing with everything you could imagine available (extremely clean and host was great)we loved the games and hidden gems to enjoy never a dull moment and if outside adventure you crave there is just too much to do from hiking to water adventures please trust me I don’t do many reviews and was highly afraid to rent due to the horror stories that are out there. WOW so happy we did this and will definitely go back can’t say thank you enough memories of a lifetime! Ps: cell services is spotty in the Adirondacks but the home has amazing WiFi and TVs with excellent service if you are afraid of not being connected we choose to unplug and this is the perfect place to escape the rat race!

The property was beautiful. It was easily accessible and the driveway was well plowed. The appointments in the house were first class. The kitchen was well stocked. The gas fired decorative stove in the dining room provided warmth and atmosphere. All appliances worked well. The host communicated well and was very pleasant. First class!!

Charming cozy house on the river

My wife and I enjoyed a quiet peaceful few days in this lovely tastefully decorated and comfortable home. For us the location was perfect. We look out on the raging Great Sacandaga River. In the mornings we take an hour and a half walk on the dirt road along the river seeing waterfalls and rarely encountering cars or pedestrians. It was not our first stay in this house, and hopefully it won't be our last.

Cozy Adirondack Winter Getaway Dream!

We had a wonderful winter weekend at this sweet home. 4 long time friends looking for an Adirondack winter weekend and this house was perfectly placed close to Lapland Lake, Northville and a great winter hiking spot. The home was perfectly clean, beds were all SOOOO comfortable (a must!) and the house was stocked full of all our needs. There is a gas stove in the kitchen to heat up the living room area fabulously - and creates the perfect ambiance too. We had about 5 inches of snow the weekend we were there and we heard from our host about snow removal, salt and sand. Great spot. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Peaceful haven in the Adirondacks!

We so enjoyed our 6-day vacation in this peaceful home on the Sacandaga River after our October wedding! The welcoming decor, gas woodstove, and modern amenities in this cabin, combined with the relaxing riverside location, stunning night skies, and an immature bald eagle in the river across from the cabin, made for an unforgettable week in the Adirondacks. (And be sure to check out the Johnson Family Farm Store just down the road in Northville! Yummy homemade food and other good stuff!) Thanks for a wonderful week! 🍂🍃🍁

Such a fantastic place

This is an excellent place to stay, relax and recharge. A total home run. The cabin is easy to enjoy. It has an excellent kitchen, a very comfortable living room and three nice bedrooms. The decor is very cozy and warm, the propane stove heats up the interior almost immediately, and the view is beautiful. The deck is lined with Adirondack chairs and you could spend hours simply looking at the river (I did). The cabin is only minutes from the charming Village of Northville and Lake Sacandaga. One item of note is that the communication from the owner was also excellent. I will definitely be back.

Our stay at this delightful home was perfect for our Christmas holiday in Northville. Before we reserved the home, and throughout the entire stay, Ben was very prompt to answer questions, and made himself available for assistance. Ben decorated the home beautifully for Christmas with lights, a tree, and decor. He went above and beyond to create an atmosphere of cheer and comfort. Ben’s home was clean, and fully appointed for cooking a large meal, or hosting friends and family. The beds have excellent mattresses and pillows. The WiFi actually works in this remote location, so we were never disconnected from calls or realtime news. The house is great for a couple or small family. Honestly, we do not have one thing to mention that could be improved upon. Oh, and the view is just spectacular. We have found our home away from home when traveling to Northville. Thank you for everything Ben, we will be back!

A classic woodsy cabin with all the modern amenities. Picturesque views of the river from front porch, living room, kitchen, and 2nd floor bedroom. In the morning you can look down the road, down-river and the morning light back-lights the leaves of trees and the light streams in the kitchen - we visited at peak fall colors - beautiful. Both front and side porches are large enough for everyone staying there to have plenty of room and the side porch is covered and screened-in so if it’s raining you can still hang out outside (I spent about 20 min out there in a hard, night-time thunderstorm watching the lightning light up the river and mountainside).Beds are very comfortable and the living room and kitchen accommodates a family for game-playing or watching a movie together. Kitchen large enough snd stocked sufficiently to be able to do as much or as little cooking as you want (even a rolling pin… make a pie?…!). Board games, plenty of outside chairs including a couple of folders that are great for going across the road to sit on the river banks. Access to the river is easy: just cross the road -River Road - it is small and there is no outlet - essentially no traffic when we were there in mid-October during the week.15 minutes to Northville, small Adirondack town with plenty of restaurant choices, supermarket, well stocked hardware store, coffee, etc.

Most Beautiful and Relaxing Sister Trip

This property is priceless. Every you need for a stay and location to die for. Every morning we sat on the deck enjoying the sites and sounds of the early morning. The screened in porch allowed us to enjoy the fireflies and the sound of the river without being eaten alive by bugs. We range from 69-82 years old and it was great for each and everyone of us. Can’t wait to go back. Thanks Ben and Camille!

The cabin was just right for us, the cozy vibe, knotty pine wood, well stocked kitchen, open floor plan, Adirondack chairs on the deck over looking the river, so relaxing and a screened porch. The cabin was clean and well furnished with functioning furniture not mismatched odd pieces. The host thought of everything for a relaxing, easy visit! Loved the bear challenge, too! Thank you Ben and Camille for sharing your River cabin with us! We will be back! If I was to make a suggestion, it would be to have check out at 11am to enjoy one more cup of tea on the deck listening to the river and all the morning bird chatter. Great way to start the day, no rushing about. The other thought would be to consider a queen bed downstairs for us taller folks. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!
