The highlight of this waterfront house is the bird watching experience on our expansive deck where you can relax, while enjoying scenic views and stunning sunsets.

Spot a Bald eagle, or an Osprey fishing right on the river. In the spring see many migrating birds such as finches and Baltimore Orioles…..Hummingbirds and Cormorants are a common sight in the summer along with the Great Blue Heron and Egret. Along with many local birds, you can see waterfowl such as wood ducks and mallards.

The deck is just perfect for having your morning coffee or evening cocktails around the gas fire pit.
Stepping down to the backyard, you can find a stone fire pit area surrounded by 6 comfortable chairs with fire wood provided.

If you like to fish, bring your fishing gear and catch small-mouth bass and catfish right from our dock! Bring your kayaks and take a leisurely float down the river.
You may bring your bike and take a ride on the prairie trail spanning over 20 miles each way.

On the northern part of the river, there is a Fox 14 Marina which is within a few miles from our home. There, you can rent a pontoon boat to cruise around, enjoy water fun, sunsets and a night sky perfect for stargazing.

We are walking distance from all the local restaurants downtown Algonquin. We are also walking distance from two large playgrounds where children can enjoy swings and slides.
