Host was great and it was an amazing experience. There was a toilet smell most the time but that could easily be fixed and didn't ruin our stay at all. We had a nice and peaceful getaway.
The houseboat is delightful so the docked star is for the neighbors who live at the marina full time. We checked in on a Friday night & the neighbors partied til 2am, making sleep impossible when you are 5’ apart. Quiet hours are supposed to be 9-9 but clearly they don’t care, as they met us earlier so knew that there were people next door.
Beautiful and peaceful. A perfect getaway to relax and recharge. The houseboat is lovely and was just as nice as any hotel room. I have to admit, I did have to use YouTube to figure out the toilet, but it’s super easy. Bed was comfy and the projection screen was amazing. It was nice to sit on the deck and watch the sunrise. There’s also a bar and grill just a few feet away. Staff was so friendly. Overall, cozy, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommend!

The area was awesome. All your needs were minutes away. Very friendly and fun area. The houseboat was fun and relaxing. You cannot get ahold of the property manager at all for any reason. There was no "check in" process to follow because the lock to the door of the houseboat did not work. We just opened the door and went right on in. We couldn't lock the door at night. We couldn't lock the door if we left. We kept all our clothes and valuables in the car. When we left, we just pulled the door shut and drove off because after trying multiple times to get ahold of the property manager failed, we had no other option.
Chris has two houseboats for VRBO and Houseboat 2, the one I was staying, was the better one of two because of the beautiful view. However, I ran into several problems, and Chris would not respond to text or phone calls in a timely manner:How to turn the stove on. a leak in the ballast, which caused the boat to severely lean to one side. This made it very difficult to move around in the cabin. My friend, who is 78, could not stand and fell backwards between the bed and the wall. She was jammed that way, until I helped her out. I both text twice, and and called twice leaving a message that Chris needed to contact me immediately. It was only when I sent him pictures of the houseboat sinking on one side that he returned my call.We had to leave early because the problem was not resolved quick enough. Water was flooding the bathroom and the hallway. Finally, my friend and I were the only two people on the boat. However, we do not sleep in the same bed. Because of her age, I told her to sleep in the bedroomand I would sleep on the couch. There were no covers and I had to use all the towels to sleep with. Chris’s excuse was he only puts covers in the boat when there are three people. Chris WAS very apologetic because of the issues. He sent two workers to fix the boathouse.

The property was great. I enjoyed the location and the fishing, but I ran into a few issues. First there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom. The maintenance person showed up to check on the lock, which I did not call for, and did empty the tank. He was very courteous and apologetic. On my second day, the cleaning woman showed up banging on the window as I was sleeping. I went to the window and let her know that I was not due to check out until June 2. She was very rude, and all she had to say was OK.
