The cabin is a very special place! They just got a brand new record player and they have a huge collection. The place has everything you need and a ton of cute little surprises. The host is very easy to get in touch with and made sure that everything went perfectly! W would love to return!
We truly enjoyed our accommodations at this beautiful new A Frame home. Being in the hotel and hospitality industry for 48 years, Chris and Jay were very professional and gracious hosts. The house had everything you needed in every aspect and detail. Lovely area in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont The hosts were very informative on the surrounding area and the home and very reachable if you had any questions. Looking forward to returning to this home and Vermont again!!
We had such a wonderful time here. The cabin is clean, cozy, with plenty of music and games. My dog loved sunning on the enclosed upper deck and sniffing around the yard. We didn’t see any bears but kept an eye out anyways. Perfect place for a laidback girl’s trip.
This little house was big personality and had everything our family of four needed! It was such a cool and welcoming space. We would definitely recommend and hope to come back!
Jay was so responsive to our needs. The cabin is very relaxing and convenient to sking at Burke Mountain. We loved the local products -- it can be chilly in the winter with the Vermont temps, so pack your slippers and cozy pjs!
We stayed there for one night and everything was great. The house is tiny but cozy. It was suitable for 4 people but no more in my opinion. Everything was new and sparkling clean. The house had a lot of games, a gramophone, coal for grilling, and a guitar. We really enjoyed our one night stay and we recommend it.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We've really happy that you enjoyed your stay at the cabin. It means a lot to us (especially as we keep improving and adding little touches for guests). You're welcome back anytime, and we love to host you again in the future!
A splendid space, perfect for a visit no matter what the weather. It was cozy when it rained heavy and peaceful and comfortable on a clear, sunny day and evening. There was a wide variety of kitchen implements and excellent, detailed guidance from Jay and Chris regarding the cabin’s systems. The cabin was well supplied for sitting by the fire pit out front and the porch was a perfect outdoor space for breakfast. There is very well stocked grocery store called “32” (or something like that), less than a mile away if you need something and all the interesting places in St Johnsbury are so close, The Fairbanks museum, the art collection at the Antheneum and several cool restaurants for a lunch or dinner out.Our family has traditionally done a trip to the region every two years. The A-Frame is making us consider more frequent trips if we are lucky enough to get a spot.
The cabin was absolutely perfect, and the hosts were amazing! From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed and at home. The thoughtful welcome basket filled with Vermont goodies was such a special and unexpected treat. It was the perfect touch to an already wonderful stay!. We would definitely book again in the future and I highly recommend this beautiful cabin for others you will not be disappointed.
Of all the rentals I’ve ever stayed in this is easily the best. Jay and Chris are wonderful hosts and their communication was amazing throughout and even afterwards. I felt instantly at home as soon as we walked in and the personal details really resonated with me. You will have ample options no matter what your interests and you’ll feel like you’re in a world all your own. I can’t wait to go back.
The A frame is cozy and quaint! So many unique aspects have gone into this property. Special treats were left for us by Chris from the local bakery. Communication amazing. Thank you for your hospitality!
Chris and Jay's place is the perfect little brand-new A-frame! We enjoyed the private setting, tucked away in a forest clearing atop a hill not far at all from town. The design is thoughtful, featuring art and artifacts done by local craftsmen. We were a family group of three adults, and had everything we needed to rest and feel comfortable. The deck is spacious and was the perfect spot to enjoy the extended daylight hours. We very much appreciated the communication from the hosts, as we were excited about our stay and the property and got a bit chatty! We highly recommend the place to anyone looking for a place to stay in St. J!
