It comes as no surprise to you have written this version of events. When I was informed about the break-in (this is the first time we have had a problem and we have lived here 12 years) I asked if you had reported this to the police as you had been out for lunch with an Ecuadorian friend in Crucita. You said you had not gone to the Police….. The strangest thing about this robbery was your diabetic monitor was the only thing stolen. We have security camars that cover both our properties and also one in the entry of the house you were staying that you disabled. Your wife volunteered that she had not checked the windows downstairs on the night in question so did not know if they had been secured. When you left I found the living room chairs outside in the open they had been left out all night so after having a robbery I would have thought you would have considered the possibility of them being stolen. We have had many guests over the years and never had to withhold a deposit until now. The house has a high rating and we have never experienced the problems I had with this rental. We will no longer be accepting instant bookings as we like to decide who will be guests at our properties.
