Great Place with a Great View

Clean neat and plenty of open space in the house. The view was great of the harbor. The house is in a quiet area of town. I will rent it again.

Another Great Year

We love Sam’s Cottage. It is very homey. Small kitchen but everything you need to prepare wonderful meals. We love the view which includes The Stonington Lobster Co-op, islands and an occasional schooner passing through. The covered porch on 2 sides makes it easy to grab a chair, relax and enjoy the view! We saw deer and turkeys multiple times in our yard. Couldn’t ask for a greater experience! There is a very comfortable double bed downstairs and 2 double beds in the same room upstairs for company. Can’t wait until next year! Thank you to everyone at the Island Agency for all your help and support!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

The cottage is very New England comfy. The covered porch on 2 sides of the cottage allows for sitting outside in the sun or shade depending upon the weather. Plenty of parking. Beautiful view. We describe staying at Sam’s as “living in a post card!” Very well equipped for cooking and baking. Comfortable beds. Plenty of storage space. We very much enjoyed our stay! We plan on returning next year.

Great little house

Home has a great view of the harbor, you can watch lobster boats come and go. The road it is on has low amount of traffic as it is a dead end. I have walked to town many times, but there is a fairly long hill on the way back. This was our 3 or 4 stay at the home.

Feels like home….only better!

The Island Agency is phenomenal to work with to make the reservation. Sam’s Cottage feels like home to us-even better because of the view. We can watch the lobstering process at the Stonington Lobster Co-op as well as the schooners sailing through the thoroughfare. It definitely has the New England charm which we appreciate having been from New England originally.

Wonderful time at Sam’s Cottage

We enjoyed our return stay at Sam’s Cottage. We love the porch and front facing windows that overlook the beautiful harbor and islands. It’s a very comfortable place to spend a delightful week on Deer Isle.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage.

We enjoyed our stay very much. This is not a fancy cottage but it is clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. We loved the cool breezes off the bay as we sat on the large covered porch. The view of the bay is lovely. It is in a quiet part of Stonington but it is in walking distance to town.
