New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

You'll find wonderful ocean views at this four-bedroom, three-bath duplex located right on the beach and with all-new furnishings, appliances, and flooring, plus enough space and privacy for all your guests! The first floor has one bedroom with a queen bed and hall bath. The second floor has three bedrooms with a king primary suite, a queen, a double/single bunk, and a single bed with a hall bath. This duplex has central heat and air, a dishwasher, a microwave, a washer/dryer, cable TV, and free WiFi. Other amenities include covered porches, an enclosed outside shower with hot/cold water, parking underneath the unit, a foot wash on the deck, and a private walkway to the beach.

Beach front!! Amazing location. Ease of getting on and off the beach. The outdoor shower on the deck was an awesome amenity to have and use. plenty of parking. Pure rental home, nothing spectacular except that it’s beach front. Needs some TLC. Met our family of 8’s needs and we had a wonderful stay.

Holden Beach Fun

House was clean on our arrival. Met all our needs for a family with children vacationing. The kitchen was equipped with most everything needed for cooking dinners. One request would be for a gas grill but we made do. Location was amazing with just steps to the beach. Walking distance for many restaurants to enjoy. More than enough space for 3 vehicles. House in need of a painting refresh. Beds comfortable. The convenience of the outdoor shower on the deck was great at keeping sand out of the house. Loved this feature. Will definitely be staying here again. Great house for a great vacation!

Great location! Close to restaurants and the bridge coming into Holden. Property was clean and well maintained. Best part is the outdoor shower right on the deck where you could shower before entering the house.

Great Location!

This unit has a great location with walking distance to restaurants, fish market and ice cream. Nice porch with outdoor shower and easy access to the beach. Kitchen utensil/dishes/pots are sparsely supplied and could be updated. We always travel with sharp knives and a good frying pan. We had a cleaning issues and they were very responsive to get it fixed.

Beach house steps away from Ocean

This place was perfect for our beach vacation. The location was key. We could walk to 3 different restaurants to eat, icecream, candy shop and coffee shop. House was perfectly describe. Only downfall was bedding. The duvets did not appear to have been washed in awhile and had some stains. Having the 3 bathrooms was a huge benefit with 8 people. Kitchen was a tad small and not fully equipped to host 8 people. Not enough plates or bowls.

Family Vacay

The location of this home is great! The home sits within walking distance to ice cream, candy and the most popular restaurants on the island — Dock House, Castaways & Mermaids. The home is a duplex, our friends rented to West side of the property, so we were all together for the week. One of the most convenient offerings were the outside showers — one under the home and one on the porch. The things I loved about the property are also things I wouldn’t appreciate if I didn’t know the renters of the opposite side. The internet was rather slow in the evenings. The hot water did run out rather quickly with 8 people showering in the 3 bathrooms. The stove seemed to be delayed but worked well. I was disappointed that the property did not stock any type of iron or ironing board.

Great Location!

Pros - great location! We love being on the oceanfront. There was easy access from the beach side to store all our beach paraphernalia under the house. The layout was great for our 3 generation family. It was a nice surprise that laundry and dishwasher pods were provided as well toilet paper and paper towels. There were plenty of kitchen supplies for our family of 8. Cons - the house has not been well maintained. Two of the TVs mounted in the bedrooms were loose, one about to fall. Carpet on stairs and in bedrooms was worn and dirty. Wallpaper was peeling from the wall. Walls were very scuffed and door to outside was very dirty. Slat on door was broken. All in all we had a good week but would not stay here again. For what we paid for a week, we expected better.

Best vacation ever!

This house is amazing! There was plenty of space for 2 adults and our 4 kids. I really have nothing negative to say about this house, but plenty of positives. First of all the beds were amazing, I usually don't sleep well on vacation but I got the best sleep of my life there. I love that the sheets were already on the bed so I didn't have to go and make all the beds as soon as I got there. There were plenty of bath towels AND shampoo, conditioner, soap provided. It was awesome to come in to dish liquid, laundry detergent and toilet paper! We never heard our neighbors who were staying next door, it actually felt like we were staying in a private house not a duplex. The house is close to restaurants, the candy store and best of all, the coffee shop. The water hose has high pressure for washing off your feet, and the outdoor shower was great. We never ran out of hot water, even with all of us running the water and the washer! I could keep talking about how perfect this house is, but I think you get the idea. Book this house and have yourself a wonderful vacation! We can't wait to stay here again! After years of staying at Holden this is by far our favorite house!

Beaver Place

We rented both E & W sides for a family vacation. While the house was nice and generally clean, it definitely needs a refresh. The walls and doors are grungy. The bottom panel of the dishwasher on the E side kept popping out and we had to keep forcing it back under. The stove definitely needs to be replaced as it took forever to just boil a pot of water. The WiFi didn’t work for the first two days for both sides and the air conditioner quit for both sides on the last two days during 90° heat. The staff did respond fairly quickly to these things, however it wasn’t fixed before we checked out. We had an 8 week old baby with us so the inconvenience was substantial. We use an infant heart monitor that requires WiFi connection. The WiFi issue also affected the TV connections and forget connecting any electronics. Be warned there is no grill or iron/ironing board so bring these items with you! Other than these issues, everything was wonderful. Direct access to the beach, conveniently located near everything, plenty of room and well equipped (although the knives were really dull - invest in a small sharpener). So, while the trip turned out nice, I did expect better quality (especially with the WiFi and air conditioning) for the amount of money we paid to stay there.

Home not what pictures portray

Let’s start with the positives…location is great! Walking distance to local restaurants. The distance to the beach was the best! It literally felt like you were at the ocean just by sitting on the back deck! Now the negatives…..The cleanliness of this home was my biggest issue. 2 of the bedspreads had BLOOD on them! It was so much that there is no way someone couldn’t have seen that when making the bed. It’s was very obvious that all of the bedding was not washed. Besides the blood, the bed spreads were also stained pretty bad. Once this was noted, we called the guest services number and was told that they would send someone out to replace the bedding. 3 hours later, we still had not heard anything. By this time, we were exhausted from traveling all day, so we ended up using some blankets our kids had in the car. For a solid 3 days, I called the guest number and was told the same thing, that someone would fix the issue. By the second day, it was clear the issue was not going to be addressed, so I went to Walmart and purchased new blankets. We stripped all sheets off and washed them. 3 days later, a manager called to explain that our request went to someone who was off. Secondly, the showers had mold all around the seals. With some cleaner I purchased, I was able to remove most of it. The home needs some major updates. Shingles coming off, air vents rusted, stained carpet, rusted door knobs, and could use new paint.

We love this place!

We love this place so much that we reserved it for another stay before our week stay was over. It’s a very beautiful home with tons of space, steps from the beach, it has a very covenant outside shower right next to the back door entrance, short walking distance to the restaurants and ice cream shop, and so much more. I would recommend this home to everyone I know. We are definitely coming back for more. Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to stay and see you soon!

The house is in a great location, close to every thing you need. Loved the rocking chairs on the porch and out door shower. Comfortable setting for 8. However the kitchen was not well stocked and the dryer took 3 cycles to dry.

Beaver Duplex

Next to public access, so expect the beach area in front of cottage to be busier than other parts of the island. Duplex is nice, but could use a few quick fix updates: Examples like the replace the porch rockers (plastic and broken), clean out the excess toys under the house and downstairs shower, Garden hose needed downstairs for rinsing chairs and tents when leaving, and replace the beach side door handle which is rusted and loose (difficult for children and some adults to open. Overall, a nice duplex.

The perfect week

Upon arrival, entry was easy with the code. The duplex is located directly on the beach. The porch is shared and we had no issue hearing our neighbors thru the walls. Kitchen was well appointed. We had plenty of space for 5 adults and 4 kids. Beds were very comfortable. Walked directly onto beach each day with ease. When the water filter was beeping and the outdoor shower wasn’t working, they sent someone that very day to fix it. It should be noted that the house is next to a public beach access point, but the beach was not crowded. Our family enjoyed a wonderful week together. It was a joy to visit here and we home to come back.

Beavers place E at Holden beach

Spacious duplex with nice amenities, especially the great outdoor shower. Easy experience with Vacasa. Only criticism is that the duplex was not as clean upon arrival as in past years. Nevertheless, would stay here again, love the surf right at your doorstep.
