This oceanfront two-level duplex accommodates the entire family and offers a great location in the gated West End! Peace & Quiet has central heat and air-conditioning, a dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, an ice maker in the fridge, CCTVs, DVD player, wireless internet access, and telephone. Enjoy the views from the two covered oceanfront porches and bask in the sun on the sundeck. Other amenities include two outdoor showers (one enclosed with hot and cold water), parking underneath the house, and a private walkway to the beach.

Location was beach accessible, the house is tastefully decorated, beautiful shower in the Master bedroom and a huge walk in closet in the Master bedroom. Plenty of space in the living area for relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet.

Beautiful home

We enjoyed our week long stay here. The house was so clean and new. Had everything we needed during our stay. It was in a great location. Pretty much in the middle of everything oak island has to offer. Beach, grocery stores, restaurants, ice cream shops, donut shop.

Home was a great size for a large family. We even have a little one and space to place his mattress or cribs inside the master. Lots of bath towels made showering nice with lots of girls too! Only item that would of been nice is there are no TV's in any rooms just the living room. Would of love to have TV's in all 3 rooms.

Dreamy cottage @ Oak Island, NC

The Pawsitive Island Escape cottage was beautifully appointed. The Scandinavian flair was just perfect for Oak Island. The amenities were superb and we felt at home from the moment we opened the door. The high end appliances and kitchen dinnerware and glassware were just beautiful. Our family spent more time than anticipated in the cottage. We highly recommend staying here and we are so looking forward to when we can visit again. The M Family

Oak Island Escape

This was the perfect house for a weekend with our adult children. Everything was bright and clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and pots and pans. Although there was a lot of construction going on in the area, we were not bothered by noise at any time of the day or night. The walk to the beach is not long - about 10-12 minutes - but you do have to cross a very busy road, so we chose to drive and pay the parking fee when we had all our beach stuff with us.

Perfect for our family!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this home. It’s as-described, but with more and larger closets than I anticipated! The kitchen is well stocked with anything you might need, and even a fancy espresso machine. This home is new construction, so new that I think the grass in the back yard has not been planted yet. Regardless, it was great. There is even a grill that isn’t advertised (though we didn’t use it, so I can’t guarantee it works). It’s a short walk to the beach (though across the main road, which is harder to cross on foot), or a minute’s drive. This summer Oak Island started charging for parking, so be prepared for that. Or, drop off the kids and gear and drive the car back home.

Enjoyed our stay!

We had a really nice stay at Pawsitive Island Escape. The home has a very calming, cool, yet modern beach atmosphere. The front porch is welcoming with two very comfortable rocking chairs. There's a large room with living area, dining area, and kitchen as we entered the house. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed with a coffee maker, toaster, blender, and even an espresso machine. We enjoyed sitting at the island for breakfast and having coffee and snack time. The king and queen bedrooms were spacious, and the twin beds room was smaller but cozy. The hall bath was also a good size with a tub/shower combination. The primary bathroom was fun with a walk-in shower, double vanities, and a niche for the toilet. We have plenty of room to store our clothes and luggage out of sight in the primary walk-in closet. When we travel with our dogs, we try to find a home with an enclosed yard. This home didn't disappoint! Although a tad small, there was plenty of room for the dogs to run around, playn and do their business. The enclosed back porch was a good place to watch our dogs as they tried to catch the neighborhood squirrel that ran along the fence line every evening! We were very pleased with our stay and would love to come again sometime.
