New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.
Enjoy the spectacular beach views from the two oceanfront, covered porches of this
four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath house. This home underwent an extensive
renovation in 2025 including a new kitchen, all new flooring, new ceiling fans & lighting
and new furnishings, including a custom dining table that seats 10, 65” TV in living room
and TVs in all four bedrooms. All the bathrooms are scheduled to be renovated before
the 2026 season! There are two bedrooms located on the first floor, each featuring a
queen- and a twin-size bed. The second floor offers two spacious bedrooms, each with
a king-size bed. Both open onto the upper-level oceanfront covered porch. The
primary bedroom includes a sitting area with a queen pull-out sofa. All four bedrooms
have en-suite bathrooms. The upstairs den offers a single pull-out bed and desk area.
The beach is just steps away using the private walkway from the porch. After a day on
the beach, wash off the salt and sand in the enclosed outside shower with hot and cold
water. Then enjoy watching the waves or the sunset views while relaxing in one of the
rocking chairs or eating al-fresco on the main level covered porch. Life is a Beach at
“Prince of Tides”!

Inland Breezes
We weren't on the beach but had a nice view of Jinks Creek and great breezes as we sat on the porch. The house had everything we needed, was clean and has a great pool! I would definitely rent this house again.

About as good as it gets
60 year old and I have to say, this was the best rental I've had. Very well equipped. Weather wasn't the best, but God didn't ask me. Close to everything. We had 7 in the party and they all loved it. If I had the money I'd buy it.

I was expecting to be disappointed as I felt the price was super high and traveling from across the country I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the house. It was large, open, clean, and exactly as pictured. It had just about all the things we needed for cooking in the kitchen and we loved the proximity to the beach.

This was the perfect home for our family. The home was clean when we got there. Which is a huge plus for us since my first day is typically cleaning the home when we get there. No need at this home. The floor plan is open and doesn’t feel congested. The pool is great. It had lots of space and so it didn’t feel crowded if more than a couple people were in it. The home is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. We are booked again for next year!! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

OIB doesn’t disappoint!
Decent walk to the beach! Kitchen was well equipped! Good mattress for sleeping soundly! Clean and tidy upon our arrival. Plenty of beach chairs and towels! We want to go back! Thanks for allowing us to stay at this beautiful property.

Very family friendly and well appointed
We have stayed at MANY OIB properties over the past 40 years. If you have a large crowd and like to Cook, you can beat this kitchen. Tons of nice pots and pans and such! Makes a world of difference in convince!doesn’t stop there! Linens, bath towels, beach towels are all supplied as well as tons of beach gear. Not going to the beach?? Hang out at the private pool! It’s fabulous!
Beds were all very comfy and the back porch got a ton of use! If I HAD to come up with 1 thing that was less than desirable, it would be the grill. (But to be fair, I’m a grill snob)lol
If going back to OIB, I would not pass up this property!

Beautiful home
We stayed at this property with a group of friends and really enjoyed it! Loved the pool and it’s a short walk (~5 minutes) to the beach. Lots of towels, cups, dishes, etc for everyone. The home was very clean and comfortable!

A good rental experience. A small concern as to `very clean`. Under beds were not vacuumed (someone`s ring found) and TV cabinet in upstairs living space had a pair of undies and pants in it.

Ready to book again!
Great location. Plenty of quiet spots outside to get away and relax. Salt water pool was great and ease of access to the beach couldn`t be better. Home images were as shown and cleanliness was very good! We`re ready to book again.

Fabulous beach house and pool
We rented this house last year and loved it so much that we rented it again this year. It is a beautiful home, very clean, with an incredibly well stocked kitchen, lots of towels, and very spacious. Porch with the rocking chairs is a great place to relax. The pool is one of our favorite amenities. It’s really big and kept very clean. The storage room has lots of rafts, umbrellas, beach chairs, and a beach wagon. Having the frig in there is great to keep drinks. I would definitely recommend renting this home. Also the location is great. Although it’s not on the beach which is what makes it affordable for us, it’s a 2 minute drive in the golf cart to the beach access. My only complaints are that the ice maker does not work well but it’s easy enough to buy a bag of ice. And the front left burner on the stove stays on high so it’s hard to use that burner.

House was Great, Pool Was Unclean
The house itself was clean and perfect for a group of us on our friend`s bachelorette. However, when we showed up, the pool was green with algae and unusable. After multiple back and forth communications with the rental company, they had someone out there the next day to clean. However, some of the staff that we interacted with were unkind and the cleaners did not clean the filter and we found a dead bird in it.

Near the beach with an amazing view of the inlet
Beautifully decorate and kept home. The owners have thought of everything and offer more than other homes (including spices to cook, aloe vera for the accidental burn, and plenty of beach gear). What would have made it better? Heating. I`m not sure the house has a heater and one day the internal temperature dropped to 62 inside the house (48 outside in late May). A heated pool would have been great. The beach was very windy and the ocean water rough and cold, the pool could have been a life saver (but the water was too cold). Some people still managed to get in and have fun.

Pokie’s Place was Awesome!
We had a wonderful time staying at this gorgeous beach house. This escape and retreat was just what my family needed after being quarantined during a pandemic. The house had everything we could have possibly needed and was equipped with lots of extras. The pool and back deck area were our favorite relaxing spots. The beach is only a short walk or golf cart ride. We hope to stay at this property again in the future!
