This spacious, quiet, bright second floor studio unit has all you need for a Maui getaway, with a CA King bed, comfy armchair, a dry kitchenette to help you prepare breakfasts or a light meal, BBQ tools to take to the pool grills for preparing dinners, and a full bathroom. This second story corner/end unit condo has high vaulted ceilings and lots of light that creates a large, bright, and airy feel.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the beautiful lanai overlooking the tropical canyon consisting of palm trees (one of which my grandfather planted!) and flowers; all while listening to the song birds. Then head off to the nearby beach with provided beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler!

The award winning Grand Champions has 2 pools, poolside barbeques, Jacuzzis, as well as tennis and golf adjacent to the complex. Within a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive you can be strolling 3 1/2 miles of beaches, swimming, snorkeling, or visiting shops and dining in fine restaurants. Nearby four and five star hotels offer boat rentals and other services as well.

We hope you will come and enjoy the tranquility of both Wailea and the Grand Champions.

Do note that this unit shares a wall and a locked door with the adjoining unit, much like hotel room suites. We do own the other unit as well and we do our best to ensure our guests are respectful of the fact there is a shared wall.

Good location. Room was not very clean. I found garbage behind the nightstand, carpet was clean but stained and in need of replacing. Bathroom was adequately cleaned. Extra amenities were nice, beach towels, snorkeling equipment, cooler, beach chairs. Pool areas were nice. Booklet with instructions is in need of replacement, I don’t think it has been updated since 2017.

The two units provided us with enough space to be comfortable with extended family, yet allow for privacy when needed. The shower facet in the studio needs repairs.

lovely studio

it is a gorgeous little apartment in a chic condo park in upscale Wailea, the view from the balcony goes right into the jungle, the public swimming pools and hot tubs are amazing, to the beaches is about 5min drive and supermarkets 10-15min, we enjoyed ourselves very much hopefully coming back one day, thank you for providing such a opportunity

Perfect location

This place was exactly what we were looking for! The location was perfect, quite and safe area. The walls were thin, but the neighbors were quite. Had everything we needed for the beach. Very clean studio apartment for the two of us. Also the balcony was lovely and mostly private to drink coffee and listen to the birds. Owner was also quick to respond to any questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Wailea location

The location of this place was perfect for a light stroll to the beach, restaurants and shops in Wailea. The place had a very comfortable king size bed. Because it was on the second floor, we were able to leave the deck door open at night for a restful sleep. The shared patio wasn’t as private due to the dead plants in the patio divider. We would definitely consider coming to this place on our next trip to Maui.

Beautiful place!

Everything was amazing! Rachel was amazing and very responsive. I had just gotten in from a 10 hour flight and asked her if the place was ready and if I could check in early (about 1230 HST). She got back to me quickly and said everything was ready! The lanai was great and had a feeling of seclusion. Beautiful sounds of the birds!

Very nice, clean, quiet community in great location - easy to get anywhere on Maui from here!

We were very pleased with almost every aspect of this vrbo. The only thing keeping it from getting a five-star was the very small kitchen (not really a kitchen). I'd recommend it though to anyone traveling to Maui that doesn't need a full kitchen. Instructions were extremely clear, great recommendations on dining and other information was there for us along with beach chairs, beach towels & a little cooler for beach excursions. Beaches nearby are spectacular with great snorkeling & beautiful sunsets. Close to lots of activities but far enough away from town to feel peaceful.

Expensive for a dated place

The room was just ok, but dated. There were stains on the carpet, rust on the fan. A drawer of the chest was loose. Some kitchen ustencils were dirty or broken. In the bathroom, the bathtub was rusted at the bottom with additional rust on the curtain rod. Some towels had stains. The sink was cracked. Also, the outside lamp was not functionning.

We really enjoyed staying here. The birds were very fun to watch from the lanai.Staying here was an experiment in economy, going without a full kitchen. I would say that this is a PERFECT unit for an additional room for a larger party of people who have a full housekeeping unit or for a couple who are just needing a place to sleep and shower. There are beach chairs and beach umbrella and boogie boards-so great!This unit has dishes and flatware but is not conducive for more than warming leftovers and enjoying that on the lanai. We grilled down at the pool but did not choose to eat there as it felt too close to the others there. Also, no glass is allowed in the pool area. So, the carrying of food and fetching items forgotten is a consideration. There is a blender and a burner and pan (all nearing the end of useful life)- but doing dishes in the bathroom becomes quite an adventure with larger items.This is an older community and this unit has not been recently updated. I hesitated on giving a 5 for cleanliness- everything WAS clean, just tired looking. So, if newclean, this is not the place for you. Guest parking is scattered throughout the community and you sometimes need to walk up or down a sloped drive to get to the space that was available to you. Also, there are steps everywhere to get to where you are going. So you need to be fully mobile.the Host was lovely and responded quickly to inquiries and was eager to make our stay pleasant. Thank you!

This Grand Champions condo has been in the family for 25 years. Sylvia, Bruce's mother, relocated back to San Diego to spend time with family. Helene and Bruce then remodeled and began renting the unit. Rachel, Helene and Bruce's daughter and Sylvia's granddaughter, has taken over the handling of reservations as of March 2019. We all love this condo and would like to retain this family legacy on Maui for our children, grandchildren, and others to enjoy.

Why they chose this property

After Helene and Bruce enjoyed a marvelous vacation in Maui in 1989, Bruce encouraged his parents to travel to this beautiful island. To help the reluctant travelers, he planned the itinerary, down to the best beaches for swimming and snorkeling. At an early morning breakfast, looking out over the calm Pacific waters, his parents decided to move from the 'cold ocean and bitter San Diego winters' to swim and snorkel year round in the 'warm waters of paradise'. That was 25 years ago!

Having visited and lived in Maui over 25 years, and loving to plan itineraries as described above in 'Why this Property' section, we are more than happy to provide you with recommendations on restaurants (we love to eat!!!), beaches, snorkeling spots, and much more.
