Lovely cottage, amazing panoramic view. Central to Sperrins, about 20 mins drive to Omagh where you will get the big supermarkets.we had a lovely weekend stay.
Beautiful property, lovely views out over the valley and owner has retained great original features from old barn but combined them with modern comfort. The owners were fab, very welcoming, genuinely interested in where we were going on our day trips but not intrusive. The welcome pack of bread, butter, jam, coffee and milk etc. was a lovely touch - would really recommend this as a great place to stay and in a central location for touring western Northern Ireland and for Donegal.

We really enjoyed meeting and chatting with John and Alice .
Lovely guests whom we would be delighted to host again.
We had a wonderful stay! Easy to find and centrally located for all of our excursions. Charlie and Bernie are wonderful and generous hosts. The Bothy has everything you could need- well equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. The heated floor in the downstairs bath was a nice touch! Wish we could have stayed longer!
Property is excellent. Really comfortable and well equipped. We really enjoyed sitting looking at the beautiful view out of the picture window and appreciated the fresh flowers, wheaten bread and jam. Hosts looked after us well. Very welcoming and brought us extra firewood when needed. Only problem was that we had not received arrival information by morning of our stay and had to contact the help centre. Once in the property however, everything was 5 star.
My Family & I have just spent two wonderful nights at this beautiful, charismatic, converted barn with unbelievable views of the Sperrin Mountains. Bernadette had kindly left some bits for us; milk, bread, butter, coffee, tea & sugar. We felt this was a lovely touch as the cottage is well equipped with everything you would need. We had a toddler with us & a cot/stair gates were provided. A BBQ & outdoor seating area where we cooked one evening. We touched lucky and got great weather. The cottage itself is beaming with charm and the garden compliments it beautifully. We would most definitely choose this place for a family or friend trip away in the future. Highly recommend.

Thanks, Orla, for your kind comments and we very much appreciate your recommendation. We’re very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us in the Sperrins and hope you’ll get the chance to return. It was a pleasure meeting you and your lovely family.
Oh my goodnes...this is the most wonderful place! So many small touches that made it special, plus it's extremely comfortable, the hosts are lovely, flowers - gorgeous, view -spectacular...I would love to go back for a longer stay. I gave the location only three stars because there isn't anything in walking distance, but there are stores, pubs and restaurants a shortish drive away. Be warned that the restaurants seem to have very limited hours. For us this was a small price to pay, but it might be an issue for others, or for those making a longer stay. We were happy with each of the places we stayed - in Dublin, Derry, Belfast, and Bushmills, but this was by far the most memorable.
This beautiful property is a hidden gem on the outskirts of Omagh, County Tyrone and is one which is sure to please.
Featuring two bathrooms and two bedrooms, it will easily accommodate a family on vacation and looking for a place to stay in the heart of the Sperrin Mountains!
The location offers a very convenient location to many major attractions including the Beaghmore Standing Stones, the OM Dark Sky Park, the Gortin Glen Forest Park, and three giant sculptures who tower over the landscape are a sure hit with adults and children alike.
We were delighted with the welcoming basket as provided by Bernie and Charlie who live right across the street and made sure we had tea, coffee, milk, sugar, a cake, as well as a fire which was prepared to warm us upon our arrival. They took time to check in on us to see if we needed anything else, and spent some time chatting while exploring our Irish roots and our histories. They could not have made us feel more welcome!
The one issue we did have was intermittent wifi. We had reached out to the owner but did not receive a response. Bernie and Charlie did check in with us three days later and let us know that this issue is problematic throughout the whole area which is beyond their control.
Definitely recommended as a place to stay but do so for more than three nights (we did six nights) as to allow ourselves the time to explore this stunning area of the north of Ireland without trying to cram everything in! 5 Stars!

Thank you for your very kind review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and it was a pleasure to meet you.
We are sorry that you had an issue with the wifi, unfortunately we missed your email message and the owners Bernie and Charlie were not aware until you were leaving. There are a few dead spots in the building as it's very old and walls are think. We will address this with a few extra range extenders so hopefully this shouldn't be an issue going forward.
Once again we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the property and the area.
Hope to welcome you again in the future!
The cottage was spectacular and filled with every amenity needed. The hosts were lovely, the area was beautiful with lots to do! Couldn’t ask for anything more!!
This property is delightful and peaceful with amazing views. It has everything you need including a lovely fireplace. Thank you Charlie for having the fire lit, welcoming us home. It is suitable for a romantic weekend away, a longer stay (thoroughly recommend) or for a family. We would happily make a return visit - only wish we could have stayed longer (although it was already 6 nights).
The property was beautiful and had everything needed for a holiday including a fantastic view. The welcome was wonderful and the groceries provided were very welcome, I forgot how good home made bread and jam could taste. The wifi was a bit ropey sometimes, but not to the point where it hindered our enjoyment of the property. The whole family loved it.
Escaping the desert sun of Phoenix allows us to fine such charming places as The Bothy. We picked this area this year so we could attend the Open Championships in Portrush, but the cottage is so nice and peaceful that it was the highlight of our stay.
Charles and Bernadette are exceptional hosts and had prepared the cottage with a few little extras as well as everything you would expect. They are always on hand to answer any queries that may arise.
This converted barn is very well represented in the pictures and we were sorry when we had to leave. My wife will always miss the morning view from the conservatory with her first cup of coffee. They barn retains its original character while offering all the modern amenities and appliances.
Rouskey is just a small hamlet and you have to drive a few miles for shops, bars and restaurants, but it is a great location for exploring the western counties of Northern Ireland and the very north of Ireland. The are several hikes in the area. If you are looking for a great restaurant, we can recommend The Millstone on the north side of Omagh - just a 15 minute drive - great food and exceptional prices.
Thanks for making our stay so great.

Spacious and homely
This is a brilliant cottage for accommodation. We spent six very comfortable, warm and cozy nights in this delightful cottage and village. Bernadette and Charlie are wonderful hosts. Bernadette made us feel completely at home. The cottage is very well equipped with everything a holidaymaker might need. While the whole cottage is beautiful, the highlight is the stunning picture window in the sunroom at the back, which kept showing us amazing and changing views, including a snowing landscape as we woke up on St Patrick's Day. Highly recommended.
