About this property
Stone House in Provence • Nature & Calm
In the heart of Provence, at the edge of the peaceful village of La Bastide, this stonehouse offers total tranquillity and wide open mountain views, with no neighbours in sight. Cool in summer and warm in winter thanks to thick stone walls and a large fireplace, it features four double bedrooms and a spacious open-plan living area that flows outdoors.
A perfect base to explore the region and its villages — or simply slow down, breathe, and enjoy silence, nature, and time that finally stretches.
<> Outdoors <>
Built entirely from stone in the spirit of traditional Provencal farmhouses, this home sets the tone the moment you arrive. A wrought-iron gate and stone staircase lead down to the property, softly lit at night for peaceful evening returns.
At the bottom, a stone terrace awaits — with a seasonal lounge area (from April to September), and a barbecue available all year round. The terrace overlooks a private meadow with a gentle stream, a centuries-old oak tree, and a backdrop of rolling mountains.
There are no neighbours, no overlooking windows, no noise — only the sound of nature, fresh air, soft light, and, occasionally, sheep grazing in the field below (see photos).
The village is moments away, yet the house feels entirely secluded. The only reminder of civilisation is the distant church bell marking the hours.
<> Ground Floor — space for living, sharing, slowing down <>
The ground floor is one large open-plan living space. Sitting room, dining table, kitchen, and fireplace all flow together — no wasted corners, no formal barriers. It’s the heart of the house: a place to cook together, talk for hours, curl up with a book, watch a film, or simply sit by the fire after a walk.
You’ll find:
- Comfortable sofa, armchairs & solid wood coffee table
- Large stone fireplace (wood provided)
- Fully-equipped kitchen with double oven range, counter & bar
- Solid wood dining table for 10 people
- Smart TV (Canal+, Netflix, Disney+)
- Board games & colouring materials for children
It’s a warm, honest space — easy to live in, designed for long dinners, quiet mornings, and evenings that stretch without effort.
🛏 Upstairs — calm, light & open views 🛏
Upstairs, four double bedrooms all face the landscape. No overlooking, no noise — just morning light, open views of the meadow, the oak tree, and the mountains.

What makes this property unique
This house isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a state of mind.
What makes it special is the balance it offers: total privacy and peace, while being just a short walk from the village bakery and café. You wake up facing the mountains, with nothing but nature, light and silence around you — yet you're never isolated.
Built entirely from stone, the house keeps a cool, natural atmosphere in summer and becomes a warm retreat in winter, with a beautiful fireplace and thick walls that hold the heat. You don’t just sleep here — you live here slowly: cooking, talking, reading, walking, lighting a fire, watching the light change on the hills.
There’s no noise, no traffic, no neighbours looking in — just a private meadow, a stream, a century-old oak and the feeling that time moves differently here. It’s Provence without the crowds, without the clichés — raw, calm, and genuinely restorative.
