We loved staying at Mt. Adams 6. The house was perfect for our family of 4 - very cozy and comfortable area downstairs, the bedrooms were great, and the location (near the North Store and walking path) was very convenient. The hot tub was something we all enjoyed after a long, cold walk in the snow!

Fun vacation with family

It was a great place for my family. The fenced in deck was great space for my kids to play and the north store was just down the trail. Very convien! We had a really good time!

Nice Place.

Nice house, but a little far from the village. Beds definitely need some attention (very hard) it would be nice to have a King bed in one of the rooms. Overall nice little place.

A GREAT Thanksgiving stay

Thank you for sharing your home - we had a wonderful stay! The house is spotless and neat, and very well-equipped. We really appreciated the fireplace and the hot tub. My teen decided to sleep in the living room reading nook and he was very comfy. Check in and check out were super easy. House is just as described - some things a little dated but really, who cares? You're in paradise!

Very comfortable!

My daughter and I came to Bend for a Lacrosse tournament. We decided to not stay in a hotel and have a little place of our own. We were very happy with the house and amenities. The hot tub was great after a long say of sports! The drive to bend is only 15 to 20 minutes and being able to cook for ourselves was fun! There is a market just a few minutes away. Great location!

Loved the hot tub

Great home that is in need of some updating. Bed in the master was not comfortable. For price I would expect a nicer more comfortable bed. The hot tub was newer and worked great. Would stay here again if they replaced the bed.

Peaceful retreat

Clean and well-maintained. Great location near the north store but in a quiet neighborhood off the main road. I was here for over a week and I can attest to a previous reviewer that the master bed needs to be updated. Other than that - everything else was great. I also agree with a previous review that the hot tub and fenced back deck are very nice and peaceful. We used the two adult cruisers and brought bikes for our kids. We had two minor maintenance issues that needed to be taken care of during our stay and they were handled promptly and cheerfully - one was even after hours and it was not a problem. I would stay here again!

Great home/ location But Beds Uncomfortable

The home was as pictured and very nice. Great location too. ONE BIG ISSUE to be aware of: The two queen mattresses are in my opinion very inexpensive and firm to the point of feeling like a hard surface with virtually no give. The owners tried to address by put putting a 1 inch piece of foam under sheets but for us the beds were quite uncomfortable to the point of impacting our ability to get a restful night. Other than the bed issue, its a 5 star property in all respects; we however would not rebook unless the bed situation is addressed.

It was dark, the carpet was dirty and there were random rugs throughout that did not help with the esthetics. We contacted Cascara and they put us in another unit.

Will not stay here again

As other reviewers have said, the beds are very hard and the frames are loose and shakey/squeaky. the most comfortable bed is in the living room/kitchen area. All three bedrooms share one bathroom upstairs, the 2nd tiny bathroom is in the laundry room. The vent fan in the main bathroom sounds like a helicopter - replace it. Good things include an excellent hot tub - really great. The living room is comfortable. The kitchen worked as expected. The garage has 4 bikes and plenty of firewood. The laundry machines were good and detergent was supplied The bad: As my wife took a shower on our 2nd night (of 4) the glass shower door exploded, spraying bits of glass everywhere. She had cuts all over her arms and legs -- fortunately, they were shallow, but they did bleed. Ultimately it was traumatizing but she is OK. I called the management company's emergency number (around 9pm) and was told by the person that answered that he would let someone know when they came to work the next morning. Meanwhile the main bathroom was unusable as it was covered in broken glass and bloody towels. The next morning, no one called to check on us. Via a text exchange, we were told someone would come over to clean it up and install a shower curtain. I sent pictures and pleaded that this was a serious problem. The cleaning lady showed up around noon with a broom and garbage bag (no shop vac), totally unprepared for what she would face. She ended up filling 3 garbage bags. Finally, a maintenance guy showed up with a shower curtain and intended to drop it off for us to install, but my wife convinced him he should be the one to install it. The bathroom was unusable for about 18 hours. All-in-all it was a stressful and traumatic experience but the management company seemed to treat it like a minor inconvenience for us.

Dear Michael, First and foremost, our apologies on the shower door. We’ve never had one explode out of nowhere. After we learned of the incident, we called with deep concern and suggested a trip to the ER if the injuries were serious. From the conversation, it was relayed that they were not serious enough for such a trip; as you mentioned they were shallow, but bled. As there are two bathrooms in the home, we did not consider the lack of one for a night to be an emergency. We followed up the next morning by text. At that point, all 4 managers were aware of the situation. Our Field Operations Manager wanted to take care of the situation herself to make certain it was done properly and thoroughly. Understanding that some guests were headed to Mt Bachelor, she allowed time for guests to depart. Once that was understood, she was available and tended to the cleaning. The maintenance member who arrived with the shower curtain has been further trained for such situations. They are often asked to deliver items to homes when guests are in and, with COIVD, guests usually do not want us to install. Obviously this situation was different and was a missed opportunity for true service. As to the beds, the owner has been notified many times and opted not to change anything. They do stay at the home on occasion and love their mattresses. Being a privately owned home, that is their prerogative. We are looking into mattresses toppers for the beds. Our General Manager will be reaching out to you regarding your stay via her personal email. Our hope is that we can find a home better suited for your next stay. -Cascara Vacation Rentals
