We loved staying at Villa Laguna!

We had plenty of space for our family and all enjoyed the pool area, hot tub and tiki hut. We were able to take the kayaks out and explore a bit as well! Great vacation!

House is in kind of a secluded area, no other houses beside it. Fishing from the dock was very good, caught several different species. A little bit of a drive to get to the beaches but not to bad. Overall was a good place to stay.

Wonderful Area

Had a wonderful stay at this property. Pictures on the website are outdated but still a nice house. The view is breathtaking!! Spent most of our time by the pool and it was the best. Be aware there are alligators in the water. Got videos of them swimming by everyday. Overall had a wonderful week at this property.

The property was everything that was depicted on the website, and in fact even more spacious. We were especially impressed with the facilities, lots of things to do. It was very peaceful being at the end of the cut-de-sac and the view and infinity pool very beautiful.

We absolutely loved this house. Yes some things could be updated but I fear in doing so they will always be booked. The pool and lanai were the star of the show!! Dwayne our check-in agent was amazing! He definitely goes above and beyond!

Adverse weather impacted full use of facility

With the exception of two days (out of ten) weather was unusually cold & cloudy. This minimized outdoor activities.For those seeking privacy the place is ideal. Wildlife was observed daily from families of racoons to alligators. Recommend for large groups or families.

Amazing and beautiful

The pictures on VRBO do not do this home justice. It is amazing! They view, the lani, the pool and main room are breathtaking. We swam, played pool, looked at the wildlife in the water and RELAXED. We would 100% recommend this house to anyone and would definitely stay there again!

This home is perfect for a getaway, especially if you have the ability to rent a boat. The house and kitchen is fully furnished. The views and sunsets are wonderful! The pool is great as well! The only downside is the time it takes to get anywhere for shopping or restaurants. Expect 20 minutes at least to get to the more populated areas. One recommendation I would make would be to secure any items the owner doesn't want to be bothered with away.. it was quite the feat to keep a 2yr old away from the telescope!

The house and property were very nice. The property manager was nice and helpful. The location is pretty private and peaceful. The house being constructed next door was not too bad. However, there were only 2 of us who stayed here. We only used one bedroom, did not use the hot tub, never heated the pool, and did not use any of the appliances except for the refrigerator, obviously. We kept the temp at 72 in the house as instructed, but we only got half the deposit back because we used over the "allowed amount" of electricity. We went out of our way to conserve electricity. This sadly put a damper on our opinions of this property and how it is rented.

secluded paradise

The house was amazing and the property manager was so nice and accomodating. He visited the next day to make sure everything was good and answer any questions we had. I loved that personal attention! We spent most days just lounging by the pool overlooking the waterway. The master suite was huge and perfect for our stay. It was quiet and very peaceful. Can't wait to go back sometime. I already have several friends asking for the information.

Great location but cost was a bit higher than similar homes in the same area.

First time renting a house and decided to splurge since we didn’t get to do spring last year. Was super excited and loved the house/area but was bummed when we researched and talked with others in the area in regards to how much we over paid.

Great views amazing pool area, grill needs some upgrades and requires a cleaning fee which is a annoying. The fact that you have to watch your electrical consumption is silly, all fees should be calculated into the rental nickel and dimming is one thing i don't like. We had a fantastic time using the pool and outdoor are. Make sure you bring lots of bug spray the no-see-ums are fierce.

Beautiful villa. Quiet area. Well equipped although it needed more kitchen equipment e.g. pans etc. Trivial matter but fridge door bangs back loudly on to work surface. Surprised that rental charge did not include electricity costs ( must read small print in future). Pool area best we have encountered on our many visits to Florida and rented villas.

Beautiful vacation home.

This house had so much to offer. It's even better than the pictures show. The house is beautiful and the views are amazing. The heated pool and hot tub were wonderful. Fishing off the dock provided so much entertainment. We enjoyed coconut from trees in the yard. We watched a bald eagle come and fetch fish from the water. We even saw a alligator swim by. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything you would need, just add your own food to the grill. The pool table was a bonus. The garage had extra fishing poles, pool floats, and even bikes. The neighborhood was quiet, but shopping wasn't too far away. We would definitely recommend this house for your vacation.

Fantastic house!

Villa Laguna was amazing! The house is even more spacious than the pictures show. The master suite is very elegant, yet comfy. The ability to open up the glass walls connecting to the lanai was SO cool! Beautiful setting and views! Notes for future renters: Because of the location "within" the aquatic preserve, we did encounter tons of "no-see-ums", so we recommend bug spray, even in the screened in lanai area. Also, although not posted anywhere, we did see an alligator swim by, so swimming in the canal/lake area is at your own risk. (But then again, why would you need to, with the awesome pool and hot tub!?) We also made good use of the kayaks (1 single, 1 double), the fishing poles, and the pool/ping pong table. Our escape from Michigan was heavenly and peaceful. Everything was wonderful, and we will stay here again if we are in the area.

Wonderful Vacation

We had a great time at this BEAUTIFUL and unique house. The view from the lanai area as well as out on the TIKI deck are beautiful. The location is great in that it's very private and quiet, so if you're looking to relax and have fun, this is your place. It isn't super close to a lot of stuff, however, you can make a lot of day trips to Matlacha, Bokeelia, Sanibel Island, Fort Myers and Punta Gorda. My family had high hopes to get a lot of variety of fish, and we did get a lot of fish, but 85% was catfish (I think because of the mangroves right there.) We did catch a cool blue crab, sting ray, speckled trout and some small mangrove snappers/sheeps head. I loved how you could easily adjust the pool temperature and the hot tub temperature on your own, as we like the temperature to be higher than maybe others. This was GREAT for night swimming. We did find that the ice maker couldn't keep up with our family, so make sure to buy some bags of ice if you need lots of ice. My only suggestion would be to purchase new beach chairs for the guests as the ones that were there were broken, and rusty. :) Other than that....zero complaints.

Great with some disappointments

This is a great location, clean, well stocked kitchen, beautiful home, beautiful views, great tiki dock. We were disappointed in how the pool and hot tub were heated. We thought it would be warm when we arrived but we were there 2 weeks and never got the pool warm enough to use. The hot tub took quite a while to heat up too. We were also informed upon arrival we would be charged for any electricity over the allowance provided. Trying to get the pool and hot tub warm probably took quite a bit electricity. We will see. Some of the TV’s didn’t work and we were advised that the fireplace didn’t work because the gas wasn’t hooked up and we had a couple of rainy chilly nights. We had one particular rain storm that basically flooded a portion of the dining room. They did come out and do a repair it the next morning after we contacted them. Overall, satisfied but had some disappointments.

Amazing location for a socially distant fun fishing weekend!

The property was exactly as described both in the official description and prior reviews. The neighborhood itself is a bit run down but once you walk in to the house you’ll never want to (or even need to) leave. We celebrated my husband’s 57th birthday with our daughter, son-in-law, and toddler grandson. Everyone enjoyed every minute! My husband is a fisherman and we caught so many mangrove snappers off the dock that we had a delish dinner and enough to take home! This was his idea of heaven on earth! Although we planned to eat out, no one wanted to leave the house - so we didn’t! The spotless and well equipped kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat in. You cannot beat the beautiful and peaceful view! I know we’ll be back - looking to book for a week or more next time. This is your own personal resort retreat. While the management company requires more paperwork and “hoops” than renting directly from an owner, it also means they are there for you if and when you need them. Tonnie was super helpful and called me in advance to check in so we didn’t waste a minute of our vacation time. This could not have been a better weekend for us and this home was pretty near perfect. Loved it!

Lovely home! Extraordinary View.

Home is very large and spacious! Appliances all top notch working condition, extremely clean. Check-in was efficient and friendly, although the next morning 9am visit is a little inconvenient, it did give me a chance to ask questions about how to work electronics, etc. Which brings me to my only complaint. I found the television/audio combination hopelessly complicated. Instructions are straightforward, but the system doesn't always respond to the instructions. A relatively minor complaint. The home is gorgeous! You cannot beat the million dollar view. The bay was alive with fish jumping at all hours of the day. It was a real joy to watch. Pool was icy cold on arrival despite my request to have it warm on arrival. Property management responded quickly and within a few hours had it working again. By the next day it was up to swimmable temperature. Appreciate the quick assistance. The "toy room" garage was fantastic with kayaks, bikes, and fishing gear. Enjoyed our stay, thank you!
