The house was nice. We enjoyed our stay there, as it was close to a lot of things in town. We rode the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad while in town and that was a lot of fun.
Amazing stay here. My boyfriend surprised me and I left a fiancé! . The cabin was beautiful, so cozy and the pictures don’t do it justice. I can’t wait to come back!
This place is amazing! Perfect to relax and connect with Mother Nature

Heart of the Mountain
Cabin fireplace did not work. No internet. Washer was broke bc of a belt broken so we could not use. Igniter for the grill did not work. Cabin very hard to find. Pictures on the website are larger than what the Cabin was. Very disappointed.Especially with the cost of the rental and so many things not working!

Hi Virginia, thanks for letting us know about your stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they would like to share the following:
-The guests encountered challenges in locating the cabin and subsequently reached out to us for assistance. They had attempted to rely on GPS for navigation, despite the clear indication in the driving directions that were provided to them via email that GPS may not lead them directly to the cabin.
-Additionally, the guests inquired about the Wifi connection and requested the password, which we promptly provided. It is important to note that the internet was functioning properly, as was the fireplace. On occasion, the pilot light may need to be relit, and instructions for doing so can be found in the Welcome Book. Alternatively, they were encouraged to contact us should they encounter any difficulties, and we would have been glad to dispatch someone to address the issue.
-Unfortunately, the guests did not inform us of their ongoing inability to connect to the internet or their difficulties in operating the fireplace. Additionally, the washing machine was reported as non-functional by our cleaner before the guests' arrival. Given the short notice and the cabin's quick turnaround between guests, it was exceedingly challenging to arrange for either a repair or a new machine to be delivered on the same day. We have since acquired a replacement washer following their stay.
Our commitment to all our guests is to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests as evidenced in all other reviews.

Hi Scott, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. The homeowner would like to share the following:
- "Due to the cabin's location in the mountains of western North Carolina, there will be snakes, bees, mice, etc.
- It's noted in our check-in instructions and the guest manual for guests to report any issues they may have during their stay to us immediately so that we can address and resolve the concern. We would have been glad to come out to the cabin and take care of any issues, but this guest did not report anything to us.
- We also do quality checks before and after a guest's stay, and our housekeeper notifies us if there are any issues. During our check of the property before and after your visit, we didn't see any snakes near or in the cabin, and we haven't had any reports since your departure.
Again, we wish you would've reached out during your stay. We always strive to provide an enjoyable experience for our guests."
The Cabin was beautiful, with beautiful views of the mountains. Very quiet at night to sleep. The internet reception is poor, only working when you are on the cabin's porch. Also, the garbage you create has to be disposed of in town; the renter(s) can not access the garbage bin due to wild animals in the area. (We did not witness any wild animals). The road leading up to the cabin is tough to access, and in inclement weather, I believe we would have been stuck at the cabin. A twisting turning road; that was difficult to maneuver on (looked more like a driveway) that was not listed on the rental page. We never tried the road in the dark because of no lights and the difficulty of accessing and maneuvering the road. We could not reach the property managers via phone. Even though beautiful, we will not rent it again.

Sandra, thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. The listing does state that it is at the end of a winding road in the Great Smoky Mountains, but we are sorry if this caught you off guard. The rural location of this property is part of its charm but, unfortunately, it also means that wifi and cell service can occasionally be slow. We appreciate your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon!

Beautiful cabin and location. Did experience trouble with water system
The cabin is very nice and in a great location with privacy. We had a 3 night stay and didn't experience any issues until the 2nd night. Began losing water pressure and water started having a very strong sulfur smell. We were unable to get showers, so I called the number provided (Chester) and the voicemail box was full. I then emailed the address provided and decided to wait til morning to call Chester again. I was able to reach Chester and he said that it should resolve in an hour. Waited for hours with no improvement I contacted Chester again. He said he'd go check something else. This still did not improve the smell after several hours. I contacted him for a 3rd time and explained that we needed showers and even though he said the water was safe and clean we couldn't stomach the smell. He again said the problem should clear itself soon. The entire cabin had the sulfur/rotten egg smell. Very nice place to stay, but would like more follow through from the owner to resolve or check on the issue when it was going on.
I was contacted once we returned home and offered a refund for the 2 nights we had the issues. Which was much appreciated for the inconvenience it we experienced.

Hi Brandi, We are happy to hear that you appreciated this beautiful cabin, but we are sorry that unfortunate plumbing issues impacted your stay. As you mentioned, the property manager reacted promptly to your situation and made several attempts to correct the problem. There are multiple homes on the same water system, and the property manager had to investigate various possibilities since the issue was only occurring in this cabin. We believe that the situation was addressed as quickly as possible, and we hope that the generous compensation provided by the homeowner made up for the inconvenience. Thank you for your review, and we hope that you keep us in kind for your future travels. Best, the Evolve Team

Beautiful and Romantic!!!!
We took a late mini honeymoon, beautiful cabin, scenery, the butterflies were my favorite. Hot tub was fabulous! The cabin was very clean and decorated just perfectly. In the cabin there’s a coffee pot, pots and pans, a few spices, utensils, just bring food, games and books in the loft. In the early morning you can watch the sun rise, we did, we saw deer in the back yard.. just gorgeous! Short trip to town to get supplies. We enjoyed this. We went white water rafting, hiked up mountains, and shopped. The only thing is the drive way, I am not use to mountains so my husband had to drive; while I walked yes, walked! LOL 😂 I am a Floridian use to flat ground.. LOL other than the fear of driving We had a blast! We will do this again! Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful, Romantic cabin!
Holy cow!! The cabin is absolutely to die for! Very cute and quaint. I would definitely recommend an all wheel drive car to get up the very scary hill. It's an absolutly amazing place to stay and overall very cozy! 10/10 would stay again!!
The property was so quiet and beautiful it was perfect for a nice weekend getaway. So relaxing.
It was a great weekend we would definitely go back.

Beautiful Cabin
We loved the size of the cabin and the privacy! The bed was comfortable enough, certainly would have appreciated a King size bed since it's geared towards couples but wouldn't fit due to the small room. The wifi was practically unusable and would disconnect often but that forced us to enjoy the beautiful outdoor fire pit and hot tub more. Would definitely stay again!
