Welcome to Hot Cocoa! Be among the first to stay here! A newly built 1 bedroom and 1 bath cabin.
Come to this cabin to have a great vacation and get away from it all. Fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, king bed, fire pit and lots of stars in the sky!

Master bedroom with glass sliding doors to the large covered porch. King size bed with all linens supplied. Comfy pillows. Large screen tv.
Living room has a comfy oversized couch and chair. Live edge wood dining bar with barstools. Large screen smart tv and blue ray DVD. (bring your Netflix passwords!)
Cabin has central heat and air.

Full bathroom with shower. Towels and washcloths provided. Hairdryer under sink.


Pack and Play childs crib available ON REQUEST.

Fully stocked kitchen. Full size stove, microwave and fridge. All utensils, plates, glasses, toaster, cookware, Keurig K cup coffee maker. (2 K cups provided).

Full size washer and dryer. (starter laundry items supplied)

Outside patio table offers a nice view. Propane gas grill. Large covered front porch with ceiling fans.
4 additional chairs around the fire pit. Fire pit is with twinkle lights. On clear nights this is the perfect spot to see hundreds of stars. firewood is not provided, please purchase locally at any nearby gas station. Marshmallow sticks are provided.

Cabin themed decor throughout. Lots of unique touches to really make you feel welcome.

This property has one neighbor, another vacation cabin we owned named Toasted Marshmallow. Perfect if you have a larger party but wanting your own space.

Before you pack up and head to the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!
Dillsboro NC elevation starts at 1,975 feet. Think of this as your starting point. If you want to get a beautiful mountain view, you gotta climb some mountains. Mountain roads are typically gravel, steeper, narrower and curvier than you may be use to driving. This is all part of our charm.
We do have one big hill to get up. It is gravel. We regularly drive a Hyundai Sonata up. While AWD vehicles make everything easier they are not required. Maintain an even speed (10mph) going up and you should have no issues.

Items NOT provided: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap, items of a personal nature. We do supply hand soap, dish soap, and starter laundry items.

Please note this is a SMOKE FREE property. Ashtrays are provided outside on the porch. If the home smells of smoke, you may lose part or all of your damage deposit for additional cleaning & odor removal.

*****This property is located off US 74 in a curve. You will hear road noise while outside. While it is not obtrusive it is noticeable, but we think the convenient location makes up for this.

*****This is a DOG friendly property, however we ask that you bring a kennel for your pet if you plan on leaving him/her alone at the house. We do charge a $45 non refundable fee for bringing your pet. If you are bringing your pet YOU MUST select the pet option at checkout. If you do not it will be taken from your damage deposit. DOGS ONLY

Perfect Smokey Mountain Getaway

This was the perfect location for my wife and I to escape with our Pup to the mountains. The cabin was the perfect size for us. The fire pit was our favorite spot in the evenings. Perfect location with lots of nature and towns to be seen near by as well. We will be back for sure!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hot Cocoa! The little cabin was perfect for us. We really enjoyed the front porch and fire ring beside the cabin. It's close enough to Cherokee and Bryson that you can get there fairly quick yet it is away from everything. We truly hated our stay was over and hope to return soon.

Bryson City/Smokey Mtns getaway

Absolutely wonderful property! Quiet, peaceful for some much needed downtime to unplug and recharge! The hot tub was a fantastic way to unwind for sure! Loved having the fire pit! Camp fire coffee in the early morning is one our favorite things to do! The hosts were great, checked in on us via chat to make sure we got in ok. The cabin was stocked with everything you could think of! Just bring your own food! Extremely clean!! Thank you for that!! Not all of them are!! This was!! Top notch!! I can’t wait to come back again!!I highly suggest the train ride! Well worth the money!! See you again soon!!

Great location!

Loved our stay! Location is great. Enjoyed Asheville AND Gatlinburg during our stay. Check out the Farmhouse Coffee shop OMG so amazing. First cabin we have rented with matching new dishes, hey its the little things! Everything you need is there as well. Owner was great, checked on us first evening. The view from the patio is great as well. Would definitely recommend!

Overall experience

The property itself was absolutely amazing. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Only thing was the road up to it. Was very rough going up not so bad going down. Would it make me not visit again probably not. Like I said the cabin itself was more than a rough road to think of not coming again.

Moving weekend for our daughter attending Western Carolina University

Cozy cabin that has everything you need. Enjoyed fires each night by the fire pit, with the twinkle lights and "fountain" in the boat pond setting the ambiance. Gravel road up to the cabin is steep, but maintain constant slow speed and you'll be okay. One suggestion would be to install a shower curtain liner. Will stay again when our travels take us to the area in the future.

Very warm and comfy. Perfect for two..

Very cozy. Almost new build. Only a few additions desired, preferred but not for everyone. A small table in front of , couch, a foot stool for chair, a thermometer on porch post that can be seen from inside. Maybe a step out handle next to shower and longer curtin hooks to keep floors dry. Overall a great vacation cabin !!

Weekend Casino Get-A-Way

The property was exactly as pictured. Super nice and peaceful place to be. The cabin had everything we needed and the hosts were amazing to answer our questions. The property is literally 10-15 minutes from Harrah’s Cherokee Casino. We went for a weekend to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We really enjoyed spending time at the cabin. There was a fire pit, TV, and board games. I really loved the quaintness of the property and my absolute favorite part was the guest book. It was cool to see whom else had visited. We would definitely recommend the property and the owners. Thank you for an enjoyable weekend away!! :)

This was an immaculate location that had amazing views off of the porch and bedroom. There was more than enough room for my husband and I and his pet friendly. Please remember that this is a location in the mountains and the road was a little bit of a heart attack every time going up or down. I was hoping I would get used to it but it's sealed the deal for me not to get a mountain house. The house is very well stocked. Having the washer and dryer was a plus. I would definitely stay at this location in the future.

So good the first time, we came back a second

This is the perfect place for a couple wanting to get away for a weekend. We've done it twice now, in back-to-back years, and plan to keep going as often as time allots. The house is very accessible and is a breeze to get to relative to other mountain homes. Just stay on the throttle and you'll trudge right up the mountain, no issues. Google Maps essentially leads you right to it, but signage all the way up the mountain is very clear. There's never any complaints about the cleanliness or hospitality that the hosts provide. They make sure everything is in tip-top condition before arrival. Communication is very clear, access is easy; you can tell they care and put a lot of time into this. For having an neighboring house, it feels so private. Our favorite part during our stays has been chilling on the fully-covered patio, taking in the view of the mountain range in the background. There's a fire pit and grill that we have enjoyed a time or two as well. Plenty of things to do within a 15min radius either way you go. We typically hit the casino in the evening, but during the day, we jump over to Sylva to enjoy good food and brewery's. Haywood Smokehouse is a must-try for BBQ. Lucy in the Rye is a nice spot for a brunch. Innovation Brewing is a cool vibe with a pizza spot attached to it. Looking forward to our next trip out. Thanks so much!
