Villa Makoshi Penthouse - Divers Paradise

Welcome to our luxurious vacation home! The Villa Makoshi Penthouse features 1350 Sq. ft. of Caribbean décor with vaulted ceilings, 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 2 open air decks, private wireless internet, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen, outside gear rinse station with shower, gear drying rods and a charcoal barbecue. For your added comfort, we offer air-conditioning throughout the entire villa; the living room, kitchen and bedrooms; something not all villas can offer. All of the windows and exterior doors in our apartment have mosquito screens so that you can open the windows and doors to enjoy the lovely trade winds. For security, we offer 2 document wall safes and 1- 17' laptop safe, 2 secured decks, window and door security bars. A serene atmosphere for hanging out and enjoying the peace and quiet of your private second floor balcony with outdoor ceilings fans to keep the mosquito's away. Watch all the activity from above and admire a bird’s eye view of Kralendijk, the open country side and the hills of Bonaire. Good chance you will even spot a donkey or two. Your Caribbean dream awaits you!

PLEASE NOTE: As of July 1, 2022, a tourist tax of $75 per visit to Bonaire applies to all non-residents aged 13 and older. Children up to the age of 12 who are non residents of the former Netherlands Antilles pay $10 per visit to the island. The tax can be paid online in advance or upon arrival.

Best of Bonaire

Beautiful property, we felt entirely safe and secure. The grounds with swimming pool and landscaping were an added bonus. The location of the villa was very convenient, central, but not downtown. All the amenities one would need were provided. It was well equipped for divers and snorkelers. The owner and property manager were great to work with, very responsive. We would stay again.

Awesome Place, Awesome Location

Had a great stay at Villa Makoshi. Todd was great and very communicative in the months and weeks leading up to our stay, including information about dive sites and the new tourist tax. Our check in process was seamless and Todd's unit was very comfortable. We loved eating out meals out on the front deck overlooking the pool and the AC in the living room was great when it wasn't windy and we needed some respite from the heat. We had a few issues come up but Todd and the local managers were quick to address them. We would definitely stay at Villa Makoshi the next time we visit Bonaire. It is a great place to say and the location is awesome!

Location, location, location

Walk to wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner. Excellent vantage point to enjoy your quaint circle of neighbors and the pool. We LIVED on the comfortable deck and loved the breezes. Clean inviting home we hope to come back to. Big bonus was the unexpected housekeeping mid-week because who doesn’t love clean sheets and towels!!

Todd and Mimi learned to dive while visiting Bonaire in 1985. We have traveled all over the world in search of the best diving. Now we are back to where it all started for us Bonaire. We love the island and we fell in love with this apartment at Perla Boneiriano. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

Hato is north of the capital Kralendijk by a few miles or kilometers. There are wonderful restaurants within walking distance and we are across the street from the ocean. Perla Boneiriano is a small condo development with 7 villas. It is a gated community and you can park your car or truck right next to our villa. You will love the pool and the landscaping. There is a feeling of tranquility and calm here.
