About this property
Quaint Bethel Home with Firepit - Walk to Town
Escape to the mountains and discover everything that makes Bethel one of Maine's premier four-season destinations. Ideally located just a short stroll from downtown and only minutes from world-class skiing, hiking, and scenic rivers, this charming three-bedroom home is the perfect base for unforgettable adventures and relaxing evenings with family and friends.
From the moment you arrive, you'll feel welcomed by the home's timeless New England character and warm, inviting atmosphere. Hardwood floors, comfortable gathering spaces, and thoughtful touches throughout create the perfect place to reconnect after a day spent exploring the mountains. Whether you're sharing meals, playing games, or relaxing by the crackling wood-burning fireplace, every space is designed for making memories together.
One of the home's most unique features is the bright, vaulted sunroom—a favorite gathering spot where you can challenge friends to a game of pool, enjoy peaceful views through surrounding windows, or spend clear evenings stargazing before settling in for the night.
Step outside to enjoy the large backyard shaded by beautiful mature maple trees. Spend warm afternoons dining on the deck, let the kids play in the spacious yard, or gather around the fire pit after sunset to roast marshmallows and share stories beneath Maine's star-filled skies.
Adventure is never far away. During the winter months, spend your days skiing and snowboarding at nearby Sunday River Resort or Mt. Abram, both just a short drive from the home. When the snow melts, western Maine transforms into an outdoor paradise with hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, and scenic drives through the White Mountains and Mahoosuc Range. Championship golf, picturesque rivers, and endless opportunities for wildlife viewing make every season an unforgettable experience.
The home's location also puts you within walking distance of many of Bethel's favorite attractions. Explore locally owned restaurants, cafés, antique shops, and the fascinating Maine Mineral & Gem Museum, or spend an afternoon at the historic Bethel Inn. For those looking to venture farther, nearby lakes, waterfalls, covered bridges, and mountain overlooks offer countless opportunities for exploration.
Whether you're planning a ski vacation, a summer adventure, a fall foliage getaway, or simply a relaxing escape surrounded by Maine's natural beauty, this inviting Bethel retreat offers the perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and year-round adventure.

Lovely home in town
Very clean and well furnished home, steps from world-class Gem Museum, restaurants, and grocery store. Short drive to many outdoor activities and other restaurants. We would stay here again even though sometimes noisy trucks, especially at quitting time.

Phil, thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear you appreciated the cleanliness, furnishings, and convenient location of the home. We understand that the noise from trucks was a bit of a challenge, and we truly appreciate your understanding. It means a lot that you’d choose to stay with us again despite that. *Diamond* on a hill!
We loved this property so much! Great great location and such a homey vibe! Super clean and the pool table/ping pong table pushed it right over the top! Being able to do our laundry on site made the stay even sweeter.
Extremely clean, well furnished and very nice layout. Loved the back patio too. Steps away from world-class Gem Museum, restaurants and grocery store. Easy drive to all kinds of outdoor activities and more restaurants. Local are very friendly. Sometimes the street traffic was noisy when summer construction trucks went by at quitting time. Even so, it’s a fabulous place to stay.
Great stay! Very clean. Even after getting locked out as child thought they were being helpful, the agency got us back in the house in no time. Small hot water tank meant waiting between short showers. Wifi was very weak, even for basic work usage.
