About this property
Cute Tiny House in the Woods for a Peaceful Getaway in Nature near Clark Fork, Idaho
Snug tiny 8’x12’ bungalow in the woods with everything you need for a not-so-rustic camping experience, surrounded by forested mountainside. Enjoy a cozy full-size bed with extra blankets and pillows, rocking chair and small wardrobe, plus a big front porch with Adirondack chairs, string lights, and a tree swing. A level tent platform in front provides room for additional guests to camp. Whip up a hot supper at the outdoor kitchen, and a table with cushy seating for four tucked into the shade of large mature trees. Warm up chilly evenings with a fire at the small fire pit—firewood is provided. The bungalow has power for lights and charging your gadgets; water is from a 5-gallon spigot jug with delicious water from our deep well. The outdoor potty is private and breezy. Outdoor kitchen features propane camp stove, sink, and plenty of counter space, plus cooking utensils, campin’ dishes and ingredients for s’mores.
Outside, the entertainment is endless. Turn right up our Forest Service road—part of the Idaho Centennial Trail—to explore hundreds of square miles of roads, trails, wildlife, mountains, rivers, mountain biking, hunting, huckleberry- or mushroom-picking, and endless discovery. Turn left and explore Montana, just a few minutes to the east; or the endlessly scenic Clark Fork River and delta with its dozens of islands. Bring your water toys to enjoy vast Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho’s largest lake, and 5th deepest lake in the nation. Enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, paddling, kayaking or canoeing, or just a relaxing day on the water. Just across the river, enjoy backpacking, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, or exploring up the huge Lightning Creek drainage. Further out is the arts town of Sandpoint and, just above it, summer and winter fun at Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort—it all starts right here.
