On particularly hot days, Puerto Rico’s power grid may face temporary outages. In our area, these interruptions are usually short, lasting just a few hours. Our building is prepared with a backup generator and water cistern, though the generator is prioritized for essential services such as securing gates, operating the elevator, and lighting shared spaces. This is a challenge faced across the island, and many choose to head to the beach and relax until the power is restored. Kindly note that refunds cannot be issued for power outages caused by island-wide grid issues.
