The house is located on St. George Island just off the Forgotten Coast in the heart of the Florida Panhandle. One can walk or bike on sandy roads to the bay and the beach in just a few minutes. Excellent fishing from quiet shores make for a relaxing environment to create wonderful vacation memories! Pet friendly beaches accommodate every member of your family. Great seafood and shopping can be found on the island and in close by historic Apalachicola!

Buddy's Bungalow has a fresh new coat of exterior paint! New outside landscaping and a new on-demand water heater. Also, pool can now be heated for a fee!

***Please respect our limit of 10 people. If you request a booking, please give us the correct number of guests in your group! If you bring extra people, you could be asked to leave. Pool, septic system, water heater are not able to handle larger groups.

Great location - lots of space

Our first time on the island. Most of these houses have 3 to 4 levels and lots of stairs. Not a complaint just we were not aware. Boat launch is close by but in/out only for 1 boat at a time so be ready to dump in and go as there is no dock. Pool was a bonus. Property owners were responsive via text. Overall happy with property and location.

Great host

Mr. Tim was a great host. He communicated very well from start to finish to make sure that his home would be perfect for our 6 children. There was more than enough room. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances. One side of the oven didnt work, but we were able to use the other side with mo issues. The owner let ys use his golf cart which was great. Some minor tlc is needed but overall we had a great stay.

This home is a great location on the island and has plenty of space and beds for our family. We enjoy several hours on the beach, outdoor shower and relaxing in the pool

Great house for the price point

We had a wonderful week at Buddy’s Bungalow. The house is as described. We enjoyed the golf cart and it made the short trip to the beach a breeze. As a person who appreciates homes with character, this house is chalked full of it! The decor brought an element of charm to the home which I also appreciated.

Second Time at Buddy's and Planning a Third

We love staying at Buddy's Bungalow. It's perfect our group. Kitchen is large and well stocked. Lots of space to be together as a family as well as space to be alone both inside and outside. Our pups love the fenced yard. Cindy, the host's local caretaker, is exceptional! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already booked again for next year.

My family enjoyed our stay. Good place for our dogs too- the fenced in yard with the pool was very helpful. The electric golf cart was a great inclusion.

Great house and location

This home is very spacious with a well equipped kitchen. We love the location and its proximity to the beach as well as restaurants. We enjoy the pool after a day at the beach. There is an outdoor shower to clean the sand off. For more restaurants and shopping, I recommend visiting Appalachicola.

Fun in the sun!

Our group of ladies had a fun stay at Buddy’s Bungalow. It’s not for the faint of heart because of all the stairs, but the location is good. The golf cart makes getting to the beach easy and it’s fun to toodle around the island.

Paradise

Buddys bungalow is a slice of heaven on earth. We will now make the annual trek from Wisconsin just to spend time here. Pam is great at communicating, the property and home are beautiful and SGI is truly our favorite place to visit.

Wonderful Perfect Vacation Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is ideally located in a secluded area bay side but still very convenient to the beach. The home is large with lots of areas for family time as well as space for peaceful "me" time, too. The fenced in grassy yard was a definite plus for our pups. Communication with the owners was excellent. We have already booked again for next year!

Great location with regard to beach and restaurants. Plenty of space in the house to not feel crowded. Spacious kitchen and is well stocked. Comfy beds with a bathroom on each of the 3 floors. Must be able to climb plenty of stairs. Nice pool!

Heated pool wasn’t working upon arrival but owner took care of it. Stove is a little tricky and hot water took a while. But other than that we enjoyed the house. Golf cart was great. Beach is great. Overall great week.

Family Vacation 2023

The property was great! the kitchen was well stocked with every utensil needed to make meals. The house was very clean. We appreciated the privacy the green space surrounding the property provided. Unfortunately, the weather flooded the pool area and we were unable to use the pool for the last 4 days of our stay. Everyone had a great time. It was conveniently located to stores, restaurants and the beach!

Great Family Vacation

Thank you Pam and Tim. Ann and I had a great week with our kids and grandkids. They all loved being able to just walk out and jump in the pool, riding the bikes, taking the golf cart to the beach, and just relaxing around the pool or on the deck. The dogs even had a great time with all the room. Loved the new frig, dishwasher, wash machine and dryer. They definitely came in handy with such a large crowd. Always a joy to come to Buddy's and of course we never want to leave. Thank you again for a such a rememberable week.

Awesome Experience

We loved the unique layout and there is a porch for every time of day and weather situation.There are tons of stairs but my wife says it is her dreamhouse. She has been visiting the island for almost 35 yrs straight (minus a few) and this was her favorite experience. The pool was a blast for the kids in between beach trips. Golf cart ran great and was a big help toting our 3,000 lbs of beach gear. We rode bikes most of the time to and from the beach and used the golf cart for the wagon. I almost missed the sunset bay view from the master bedroom window! It is a must see. You can catch the late sunrise from one of the sundecks as well.

Awesome family reunion week at Buddy's Bungalow!!

I booked for a family get together. 10 people in all. Lots of room, very nicely decorated with 'beachy' theme, clean inside and out, key-less entry - all wonderful. Kitchen completely setup for cooking for a large group. The large deck with nice furnishings. Pool was clean and clear, there is a charcoal grill and electric smoker worked wonderfully. Bikes available for riding round the island and to the beach. We rented kayaks and went out on the gulf and bay to see dolphins and even turtles. Lots of fun and wonderful memories. Everyone talked about coming back and doing it again. Will definitely come back to Buddy's Bungalow!!
