Clean and comfortable for our family. We were 6 people. We had lots of kitchen supplies and chairs. I wish we had bathrooms supplies (as we forgot our shampoo and conditioner!). I did not realize until after I booked that the pool heating was extra charge. That should be specified in the description and the price should be published.

We had an amazing time at 'the Salty Rem's!' House is in a perfect location, walking distance to the beach or a short golf cart ride to the restaurants and stores. We enjoyed the heated pool during our stay and our dog got to join in on the fun also! The house was clean, the view was good, the master bed comfortable and it has all the amenities needed. Very relaxing. Happy we got to enjoy the island!

We really enjoyed our stay at Salty REM’s! The house was very clean, private, and quiet, and it’s a great place for pets. The enclosed pool area allows them to run freely, and the artificial grass for them to do their business was a thoughtful touch. The pool was beautiful, refreshing, and looked fairly new. The master bed was very comfortable, although the other queen beds could use memory foam toppers. We loved having plenty of beach towels, and the XL washer and dryer were a great convenience.A few things could use some attention. The K-cup coffee maker appeared to have buildup inside and the coffee tasted very watered down, so I’d suggest replacing it or removing it. The pool umbrella is old and tattered and should be replaced. The grill brushes also need replacing, and the grill didn’t seem to get hot enough to cook our steaks properly.Be sure to bring necessities or stock up before arriving. There’s no Walmart, Sam’s, Home Depot, or nearby car wash. Piggly Wiggly is about 9 miles away across the bridge and is a little more expensive, though still cheaper than shopping on the island.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend Salty REM’s, especially for those traveling with pets!

Great location

We really enjoyed our fall break stay. Host is very accommodating and quick to respond to questions. We traveled with 3 teenagers, everyone had their own space, it was great! We would go back or recommend to a friend.

Our group was me, my daughter and son-in-law, and their two young children. The unit was clean and comfortable and less than a quarter of a mile from the beach. We were two blocks off the beach, but the ocean was visible from each of the balconies. We had a couple of questions after we arrived, and the owner responded very quickly. I liked that the bathroom towels selected by the owner were large, thick Maker's Mark towels from Sam's Club as opposed to the thin "cheap hotel" towels that many property management companies use. In addition, each of the three bathrooms had one full roll of toilet paper on the holder and one extra behind the toilet. We had taken extra rolls, but we didn't have to use them. Plates, bowls, and utensils were nice. Some of the cooking pans are due for a replacement, but we had an electric skillet with us, so we were in good shape. The pool is small, but it was perfect for my 4-year-old and 5-year-old grandchildren. (Bigger kids would probably want something larger, but you go to the beach for the ocean, right?) They could splash and play and work on their budding swimming skills. We spent more time than expected in the pool because from Wednesday through our departure on Saturday, the strong winds and currents led to red flag conditions that kept us out of the surf (and off the beach when the wind-blown sand got to be too much). I would definitely recommend Salty Rem as a good place to stay on St. George Island.

First trip to SGI

We really enjoyed our stay at SaltyRems. Becky( the owner) was very friendly and communicative - provided a lot of information and recommendations of local restaurants and things to do/ The home was furnished and decorated beautifully. The common area- kitchen - dining and living room was open and allowed us to be together while preparing meals with a large enough area for a play mat to be set up for our 13 month old granddaughter to play allowing us to interact with her . Tile showers were very nicely done. Nice decks - loved the pool it was small but perfect for us/ 4 adults plus toddler and chocolate lab. The grandbaby loved it but our fur baby loved it the most!! Outdoor shower was very handy and nice to clean up before going in from the beach,

The rental was good. The space looked mostly like the photos. Though the kitchen felt a bit more worn in person. It was clean enough , though not spotless. The beds were comfortable and provided a great nights sleep. The bathrooms were clean and the tile work was nice. The bath towels were a good quality and very much appreciated . Check in was easy and communication with Becky was very good.The pool was a nice compliment to the stay. And the location was just 2 short blocks to the beach. The property overall was basic. Nothing extra was provided. Just the bare minimum. With a refresh and attention to detail it would be excellent. Probably the biggest complaints were no bath soap in the showers and no pool towels . So pack your own. A few small touches would go a long way. All in all we went for a quiet relaxing getaway and that was accomplished.

The Salty Rems vacation home is exactly as described! My family spent a week and absolutely enjoyed every second of our stay here. The host went out of her way to ensure our stay was enjoyable - we have plenty of toiletries, linens, kitchen appliances, family games. Literally everything you need for your stay is there and ready! I would definitely recommend this home to anyone wanting to enjoy the Island as it is close to all of the shops, restaurants and fun. We had a great and relaxing stay just as we wanted.
