Salty Rem's Beach House! New Pool, Dog Friendly, Beach Views & Golf Cart Section

Welcome to Salty Rem's ! This dog friendly 3 bedroom 3 bath (plus hall bunks) home is located in the lovely West Gulf Beach section of our beautiful island and features very easy beach access! Golf Cart Friendly!! New stunning heated pool now available for your enjoyment. We are happy to have your dogs stay and are dog friendly with an additional $100 pet fee.
Entering the common area of the first level the kitchen, living and dining areas share an open concept. The living area features comfortable seating, and a smart TV. The kitchen is well stocked, and has a breakfast bar that seats 4 people. The dining area features seating for 6. You have a stunning view of the gulf beaches from the beautiful new deck off the living area with plenty of seating and a gas grill to cook the days catch. A queen room with a smart t.v. with a full bath (shower) across the hall.
The top floor features a queen room with a full bath across the hall, the washer/dryer is located in the hallway for easy access. The king suite with en-suite bath has a private deck with great views of the gulf beaches. There are built in twin bunks across the hall from the master suite for the little ones.
Salty Rem's has both under house parking and driveway parking available. This home features a hot/cold outdoor shower to rinse the sand away.

**Please note, if you would like the pool to be heated, you must request with your reservation. There is a $50/ day charge to heat the pool and will apply to entirety of your stay.
** No smoking or vaping allowed inside and/or outside our home. Charges will occur if evidence is found.
** Our home is dog friendly. Breed & weight will need to be approved during booking. Please message number of dogs and their breed once booking is requested.
**Please purchase your own travel insurance. Due to the location and nature of this beautiful barrier island, in the event of inclement weather or a mandatory evacuation, I cannot offer refunds for your stay.

We had an amazing time at 'the Salty Rem's!' House is in a perfect location, walking distance to the beach or a short golf cart ride to the restaurants and stores. We enjoyed the heated pool during our stay and our dog got to join in on the fun also! The house was clean, the view was good, the master bed comfortable and it has all the amenities needed. Very relaxing. Happy we got to enjoy the island!

Our group was me, my daughter and son-in-law, and their two young children. The unit was clean and comfortable and less than a quarter of a mile from the beach. We were two blocks off the beach, but the ocean was visible from each of the balconies. We had a couple of questions after we arrived, and the owner responded very quickly. I liked that the bathroom towels selected by the owner were large, thick Maker's Mark towels from Sam's Club as opposed to the thin "cheap hotel" towels that many property management companies use. In addition, each of the three bathrooms had one full roll of toilet paper on the holder and one extra behind the toilet. We had taken extra rolls, but we didn't have to use them. Plates, bowls, and utensils were nice. Some of the cooking pans are due for a replacement, but we had an electric skillet with us, so we were in good shape. The pool is small, but it was perfect for my 4-year-old and 5-year-old grandchildren. (Bigger kids would probably want something larger, but you go to the beach for the ocean, right?) They could splash and play and work on their budding swimming skills. We spent more time than expected in the pool because from Wednesday through our departure on Saturday, the strong winds and currents led to red flag conditions that kept us out of the surf (and off the beach when the wind-blown sand got to be too much). I would definitely recommend Salty Rem as a good place to stay on St. George Island.

First trip to SGI

We really enjoyed our stay at SaltyRems. Becky( the owner) was very friendly and communicative - provided a lot of information and recommendations of local restaurants and things to do/ The home was furnished and decorated beautifully. The common area- kitchen - dining and living room was open and allowed us to be together while preparing meals with a large enough area for a play mat to be set up for our 13 month old granddaughter to play allowing us to interact with her . Tile showers were very nicely done. Nice decks - loved the pool it was small but perfect for us/ 4 adults plus toddler and chocolate lab. The grandbaby loved it but our fur baby loved it the most!! Outdoor shower was very handy and nice to clean up before going in from the beach,

The rental was good. The space looked mostly like the photos. Though the kitchen felt a bit more worn in person. It was clean enough , though not spotless. The beds were comfortable and provided a great nights sleep. The bathrooms were clean and the tile work was nice. The bath towels were a good quality and very much appreciated . Check in was easy and communication with Becky was very good.The pool was a nice compliment to the stay. And the location was just 2 short blocks to the beach. The property overall was basic. Nothing extra was provided. Just the bare minimum. With a refresh and attention to detail it would be excellent. Probably the biggest complaints were no bath soap in the showers and no pool towels . So pack your own. A few small touches would go a long way. All in all we went for a quiet relaxing getaway and that was accomplished.
