Beautiful Couples Getaway in the heart of Sleeping Bear!

Private apartment minutes from Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and all M-22 has to offer. The apartment is the lower level of a walk-out with a secured entrance. Beautiful setting on 10 acres facing the west with views of Lake Michigan and the most incredible sunsets.

World class boating, kayaking, fishing, hiking and rockhounding await you. Bring your toys as plenty of parking is available. There is a charging area for ebikes available at the house.
Please note: Quads are prohibited on my road as it is adjacent to the National Lakeshore.

The apartment has a private deck with outdoor seating and gas grill. French doors open into a large living space with kitchenette with all the amenities. Dining and seating area to enjoy the views to the west. Separate bedroom with crisp, clean linens, comfortable bed and large closet. Large, luxurious bathroom with walk-in shower. Please note: there is no TV; however, there is wireless. Most of our guests want to take advantage of “unplugging.”

Great place to stay if you want to explore the Sleeping Bear area. Only a short drive to Interlochen and wineries too. We also enjoyed watching all the hummingbirds in the flower garden.

Hidden Gem Near Sleeping Bear Dunes

If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat this VRBO is the perfect place! Mark and Lisa are incredibly kind and informative. We easily explored Empire, Glen Arbor, Leland, and Frankfort. Put simply, it is a great place to stay with awesome hosts.

Perfect stay

This was a hidden gem in the sleeping bear dunes area to stay. Very well kept and very clean. Also the location is perfect to the area and seeing all of the sites. Lisa and Mark were great hosts and helped us with any questions or whatever we would need. Highly recommend their place for your upcoming stay near Sleepinf bear dunes.!

Awesome Hideaway

Top notch accomodations provided by very nice people and a dog named Gus. Pretty country landscape with amazing garden, grill and fire pit. Close to nother, but not far from some beautiful scenery. Great place to visit and chill.

Up North color tour

This property is not only in an excellent location to tour the Lake Michigan circle drive and Sleeping Bear Dune area but the property itself is a beautiful and relaxing place to be. In addition, the hosts are very accommodating and go the extra mile to make sure that your stay is everything a vacation in the north should be. We are keeping this on our radar for repeat visits

Perfect Getaway

In short, we WILL be back again!!! Perfect location, land, place to stay, and the hosts....the NICEST people ever (and Gus too). My husband and I never wanted to leave and staying here and after getting to talk to the hosts more, we already started discussion of our future retiring in this area, hopefully (we are in our 40s). The lakes, the towns nearby are all so great!! Also, Sleeping Bear Dunes breath taking and close by.

Beautifully Amazing

Beautiful Place to Stay

Our stay with Lisa and Mark was one of the best VRBO experiences we've had. They both made us feel so welcome; their property is absolutely gorgeous; the apartment was very clean and just as we expected. They were so friendly and helpful with great suggestions that helped make this one of our best getaways. The location is close to everything we wanted to do - beach, bike, kayak, hike. It is so quiet and peaceful there, and I can't say enough how much we enjoyed Lisa and Mark. They are such warm and wonderful people. Thank you for the great time!

A thoughtfully designed apartment in a centralized location of Northwest Michigan. Set back from the road, the setting is both private and welcoming. Wonderful respite

We chose this property over similar ones for our short getaway because of the positive ratings and comments. And the listing did not disappoint! Lisa and Mark are most hospitable, very warm and friendly. The apartment is immaculate, spacious, and very comfortable. The kitchenette has everything you need to prepare a simple meal. The location is close to most destination highlights in the area: Frankfort, Beulah, Sleeping Bear, Empire, Glen Arbor, and lots of sandy beaches! We will return if travel brings us back to the area.

This was the perfect first floor apartment for our stay! We had complete privacy in a very well maintained and clean bedroom, family room, and bathroom. Even the sitting area outside was delightful! This house was convenient to so many cute towns, great hikes, wineries, breweries, and beaches. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again!

Lisa and Mark are excellent hosts! The apartment is sparkling clean, well-appointed with everything you might need, and the location is just beautiful! I wish there were more stars to give because this is a gem nestled in the Sleeping Bear countryside!

We really enjoyed this sweet spot. Lisa and Mark were very welcoming and kind. Their property is amazing. The attention to detail is outstanding. Very clean and newly remolded Mother-in-law lower level apartment. Noise from the upper level was non-existent. The bath towels were awesome with well stocked toiletries. The bed was exceptionally comfortable with plenty of pillow and blanket options. What I really appreciated was the closet hangers! A woman needs hangers!! I can’t tell you how many times I have stayed in rentals without closet space and hangers so my heart sang when I opened this large closet with QVC quality hangers. Also, she had a good dresser with deep drawers. I like to unpack and relax. So many rental do not provide a dresser and if that has happened.. no luggage rack. So this is the attention to detail that I really appreciated. The property itself is amazing. Lisa is a flower gardener and her vast garden is a sight to behold!We traveled for a weekend reunion with old friends so we didn’t spend much time on the property, but Mark pointed out a walking trail on the property for us to enjoy. They also offered the fire pit and wonderful lounge chairs to us to use (maybe next time).Many times you may never talk directly to a property owner other than text. This couple was friendly, interesting and engaging. My husband Tom talked to Mark for a bit as guys do in the garage and Tom came away with a lot of respect for Mark and is organized manner. Great Stay!
