Family Friendly Features
This home was designed for families with outlet covers, baby gates, children’s books, plastic dinnerware, a toddler-friendly bedroom, and plenty of space to play.
This is a place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy Charleston with all the comfort and ease of home.
Guest Access:
You will receive your unique door code before arrival, and both the front and back doors are equipped with Yale smart locks that open with the same code. Most guests enter through the back gate and use the back door as their main entrance, but the front door is always available as well. If there are ever issues with the smart lock, we also have a backup lockbox on site. Parking is simple in the driveway directly in front of the home. Guests have full access to the entire property during their stay.
The Neighborhood:
Our home sits in one of Charleston’s best-kept secrets: a quiet, friendly micro-neighborhood in West Ashley that feels tucked away yet incredibly convenient. The street is not a cut-through, so the people you see walking or biking are neighbors who actually live here. It is a mix of young families and longtime residents from the original 1960s community, and the area has an easy, welcoming energy.
You are only a couple of minutes from Publix, with Harris Teeter and Whole Foods also close by. Second State Coffee, one of Charleston ’s best local roasters, is right around the corner and an easy morning stop. Getting downtown is simple, with multiple route options that usually take about 12 to 15 minutes. The airport is about the same distance, and any of Charleston’s beaches are roughly 25 to 30 minutes away depending on traffic.
This is also a fantastic neighborhood for walking. The tree-lined streets are calm and safe, and nearby Hurtes Island Drive offers beautiful views of the marsh and Ashley River along with great bird and wildlife watching. It is the kind of area where families stroll after dinner and neighbors wave as you pass.
As this is a peaceful residential community, we kindly request that guests observe our quiet hours and respect the residents who call this neighborhood home. We want to continue welcoming wonderful guests who enjoy the space as much as we do.
Getting Around:
We recommend having a car or using rideshare during your stay. Charleston is spread out, and most restaurants, beaches, and downtown attractions are easiest to reach by driving or Uber. You can walk to Publix and Frothy Beard Brewing from the house, but for everything else you will want a vehicle. Parking at the home is simple, and rideshares are fast and reliable in this area.
Interaction with Guests:
Check-in is completely self-guided for a smooth and private arrival. We give guests plenty of space, but we are always available through the app if you need anything during your stay.
