Valle Crucis Farm cabins are tucked in on the side of the mountain which gives you plenty of privacy and tranquility. Our clean, beautifully decorated cabins are the perfect combination for a fun vacation for the whole family.
There is a minimum of two nights for weekend stay. Also, for especial event and holidays there is a minimum nights requirement.

Valle Crucis cabin

Property manager/owner made all the difference! He was very easy and enjoyable to talk to. Asked if we had any questions or concerns during our stay at the bear cabin. Excellent stay!

Mountain Retreat

Awesome location and cozy cabin. Lots of outdoor fun surroundings. Unfortunately, we had to cut our time short due to Helena’s approach. We hope to visit again soon.

The Bear Cabin

Cabin was very clean and we had good internet connection. However the main reason I booked this place was because it showed a playground that my grandson could play on, which is no longer there. The walkway up to the cabin is steep and was difficult as I have a hip problem. The shower is also very small. Everything else was good.

Relaxing time

We had a great time. My husband and I had a perfect time for relaxing and enjoying the mountain. The cabin is very close to Banner Elk downtown and we had a delicious lunch. Everything was great!

Tiny cabin

The cabin is very nice for a couple. The walk is a little steep if you have problems walking not terrible and the shower is small. Perfect for two nights. Located out of the traffic of Boone very nice area!

Peaceful weekend getaway

We decided last minute to getaway for the weekend and found this wonderful, quiet little cabin perched in the woods. It was the perfect size for my husband and I plus our little furry friend. Super quaint and cozy. Loved the decorating with all the right mountain cabin vibes. The bed was sooo comfy! The cabin was equipped with everything we needed and we even enjoyed cooking out one evening. It was also a super location for us to enjoy hiking on the parkway and to run into Banner Elk and Boone but it was out of the hustle and bustle of the holiday mob for Christmas tree shopping. We will definitely stay again the next time we're up!

Hosts are super nice! They are always accessible but really leave you alone during your stay, unless you need them. Cabin is clean and cozy. Great location and beautiful property!! Second time staying here and both stays were great!!!

nice environment

We brought our 7.5 lb chihuahua with us. This place is small, but plenty of room for the three of us. The only thing that was frustrating was the tv reception. You could be in the middle of a program and it would start buffering and it could take a bit to finish. This may just be a problem due to location...not sure. But the stay was very pleasant.

Quaint Getaway

Visited the area to attend a wedding in neighboring Blowing Rock. Wanted something cute and away from the hussle & bussle of the town. Perfect location! Owner lives onsite and made himself easily available if needed. Grounds and accommodation were neat and well taken care of. Beware: When booking, follow the driving directions given. I made the mistake of inputting the address into my GPS, which brought me to a different location with the exact same street & number about 15-20mins away. Pros: Idyllic mountain getaway; cleanliness; efficient layout; onsite manager; scenic with neighboring stream and small farm; pet friendly. Con: Bathroom shower can be a little tight (I'm 6'3); access path is rather steep (as described) but doable.

Far exceeded expectations!

First off, there is much more to the cabin than the listing states. There is a kitchenette with refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker and a healthy assortment of dishes and silverware; everything needed for a short stay. On top of the bedroom and futon, there is a loft with a bed that is perfect for a kid. My 7 year old daughter loved the loft! TV with roku and cable kept the kids entertained between outings. Also included with the cabin is access to walking trails, horse barn, and playground right outside your door! The cabin is centrally located between Boone and Banner Elk for easy access to countless activities. We were very happy with the amenities and the cabin and will definitely keep Valle Crucis farm in mind when we return to the area.

Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful stay here. The cabin was the perfect size for two people. It was clean and beautifully decorated. We felt welcomed immediately upon arrival and lights were on in our cabin when we walked through the door. The driveway to the parking is a little steep as well as the path leading up to the cabin. We did not have any issues getting to it. The tv kept buffering but I’m sure that was related to internet in the mountains. Fully equipped kitchen except no pots and pans because the cabin does not have a stove. They even had a corkscrew! Coffee, creamer, and sugar were provided as well. Not sure if left by last guests or not. Great stay and will recommend!!

Comfy, cozy cabin

My husband, myself and our dog thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Bear Cabin. The bed and bedding and living area seating were all very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch for morning coffee and evening relaxation. The Valle Crucis location is great for making day trips to other areas: Boone, Banner Elk, Linville-Newland, etc. and is a charming area in and of itself. We went to the Community Park everyday. For prospective guests we would note: the walk from parking up to the cabin is steep and gravel. The hiking trails on the property are also steep. For older adults with tricky knees, like us, the trails were not usable and carrying belongings, cooler, etc. up to and down from the cabin was challenging. We stayed for almost 2 weeks and with not eating out due to Covid, the fridge was barely adequate, but for guests doing shorter stays, it's nice that there is a freezer compartment as well as fridge area. The property is quiet, secluded and really beautiful. Ideal for couples.
