Completely renovated early 2024 - new flooring, new kitchen, new bathroom, new furniture. We have done it all. New pictures need to be posted.

*Note* The beach in front of Cayman Reef has become very active over the last two years. The summer systems tend to shift the sand north and the winter systems shift the sand back south to us. So it is quite likely that there will not be sand on the beach during the months of July through December. The central section of Seven Mile Beach has the widest and most reliable stretch of beach but you will notice that reflected in the pricing of those complexes versus Cayman Reef.

We provide folding beach chairs so that you can access the beach next door (or elsewhere on the Island) if visiting during a time when our water is up to the wall.

We have paid attention to detail to ensure that you feel at home. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the basics as well as some nice extras such as a coffee maker, set of wine glasses, serving dishes and knife block to name just a few. We have added high quality bedding and towels to ensure you are comfortable in all aspects.

Our condo is located at Cayman Reef Resort in the heart of the action on Seven Mile Beach. Everything you need is within walking distance. The condo itself is located between the beach and the pool and you will enjoy beautiful views and amazing sunsets from the living room and its patio. There is a king size bed in the bedroom as well as a queen size sofa bed in the living room. There are flat screen TVs in the living room and and WIFI internet throughout the unit. We also include a phone with unlimited calls to Canada and the US and a local cell phone for you to use during your visit.

As we live in the same complex, we offer you the additional benefit of being close by should you need anything. We include a welcome package of some of our favorite things to do on-island and where to find all of the necessities. We are also able to arrange babysitting should you require such services.

CAYMAN REEF RESORT

Cayman Reef Resort is located on a beautiful, wide section of Seven Mile Beach close to all amenities. Enjoy snorkeling directly in front of the complex and easy access to all other watersports (jet-skiing, parasailing, banana boat, kayaking, etc) a short walk away at the Royal Palms beach bar. The resort boasts a pool, a lighted tennis court, and plenty of green space.

Our condo is located in the heart of the action with too many restaurants and bars within walking distance to name. You will also find a great variety with many options in both casual, good value dining as well as high end dining. As for essentials, there are two supermarkets about a 15 minute walk away (in opposite directions), a wine/spirits/beer store an ATM all right across the road. Cayman Reef Resort is also on the bus route for easy access to downtown George Town.

A visit to Cayman isn't complete without a visit to Stingray City. Tour operators will pick you up at the condo to take you to Stingray City or scuba diving. Also within walking distance is Cayman's newest development, Camana Bay, where you will find the cinema, shops, restaurants and a nice treat of ice cream or frozen yogurt.

Cars are driven on the left side of the road in Cayman which can be daunting to many North Americans. There are plenty of options for car rentals but most visitors choose not to rent a car and walk to most attractions or catch the bus.

Favorite Complex on 7 Mile Beach

I've stayed at Cayman Reef Resort a number of times. It's in a wonderful location on the beach and close to numerous shops and restaurants. Our condo was perfect for my 18 year old daughter and myself. It was clean, updated and had all the essentials we needed for our stay. Trinda, the owner, was responsive and ensured we had everything we needed, including leaving a bottle of wine for us to enjoy!! When we decided to extend our stay, Trinda was able to accomdate us. I loved that Cayman Reef Resort is a smaller, less crowded complex. We will definetly be returning to Trinda's condo at the Cayman Reef Resort!

Perfect for our needs

We were in Cayman last week and stayed at #36 at Cayman Reef. The condo is exactly as described and depicted in the pictures. It's perfectly clean, well maintained and very close to the beach. We loved the proximity to the beach as it make it super easy to go back and forth if we needed to. Trinda was great to work with - she's responsive, works with you to find a solution (if there is an issue) and made our experience seamless. I would definitely rent from Trinda again at Cayman Reef - it's a much better bang for your buck than staying at the Ritz or Westin since the beach is much less densely packed and you get your own unit with a kitchen and den.

2 Week Couple Vacation

We enjoyed the location of the condo property. Walking distance to liquor store, several options for eating. We walked the entire 7 mile beach, and felt in front of our condo was the best beach area. The first week, umbrella availability was a issue. The second week they added more. Although the sign says, if you leave your spot for more than an hour, items will be removed, however this is not enforced. Several times, I came out at 5 a.m., and numerous umbrella and chairs were saved, and no one coming out till after 7. The condo was very comfortable, for the 2 of us. After only a few days, felt like home. The bed is very comfortable and convenience of washer/dryer and a full kitchen was nice. Easy access to the beach to walk back and forth for snacks/beverages. Beautiful sunset each night.

Nice view from the patio and great place!

We were debating between the Marriott and VRBO, similar prices for our family of 4, elementary/middle school kids. Boy were we happy with our VRBO choice #36 with Trinda at Cayman Reef. Location...perfectly situated on SMB within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, rental cars, plenty of snorkeling spots, the beach. Views... The format of Cayman Reef gives lots of units patios with views to the water and beautifully landscaped courtyard. This unit is one of the closet to the beach, and you can see the water from the patio. We found the beach in early April to be nearly empty, as compared with the beach in front of the Marriott, which was a zoo. We spent a ton of our time on our screened in porch because we could see the water and the nice landscaping. It could use a ceiling fan as an improvement, but we loved eating our breakfasts and lunches as well as reading and playing cards out there. Amenities... kitchen, nice hide-a-bed, nice linens in the bedroom, some beach towels. Wifi, and a super nice touch...a cell phone with 60 free minutes to call for reservations. The pool was clean and lovely for the kids to play in. We didn't find any spare tennis rackets, but there is a tennis court. Logistics...no problems paying, a nice welcome letter with orientation and recommendations, and some initial "imperfections" taken care of swiftly. Activities nearby...We really enjoyed walking the beach to various restaurants...Luca's, The Wharf, Hemingway's. The bus was easy to pick up outside the condo, and many activities would pick us up. We loved the snorkeling out in front of Plantation Village...walk south on the beach and enter the water when you get to the stone wall. Go out to the buoy for some gorgeous colorful reef. Noise...we were on the condo porch parts of most days. Mostly quiet and able to hear the water most of the time. Only one day did we hear construction at the resort next door. In the evenings, we never heard Royal Palms noise once we went inside. Great place!!

Great Location!

This condo at the Cayman Reef Resort was in a great location on 7-mile beach! The beach, ocean and fine white sand were amazing; clear, clean, quiet and relaxing. The owner Trinda was very responsive to our needs and questions and had thoroughly informative booklets and information in the condo. Plus, it was close to everything! Lot's of good food choices like Chicken Chicken which offers marinated roasted chicken and sides for eat in or take out, we ate breakfast twice at Cimboco; good food, good prices. A good and reasonable pizza was had at XQ's, a short walk from the condo. The civeche at Aqua in the Camana Bay area was very fresh and tasty. Our best meal and a little more expensive was at the Wharf. A short ride or walk from the condo. Seating was right on the water and food was delicious. We didn't need a car the whole week. Most excursion companies had door-to-door service and we took the city bus frequently ; $2CI per ride anywhere. The buses run regularly around town are safe and offer an experience of the island and culture itself. Our favorite excursions were the nighttime Bioluminencent tour with George's Water sports, swimming with the sting rays, snorkeling with Captain Marvin's and the Crystal Caves tour. Overall, I would highly recommend the Cayman Islands for a vacation spot and Coral Reef Resort as a place to stay.

This was a very comfortable and well stocked rental right on Seven Mile Beach. The location of the resort is very central and the unit itself was excellent - ground floor, with a partial view of the ocean from the patio. The sofa & chairs are very comfortable (not sure about the sleeper sofa), the pillows and the bed were also comfortable, though a bit creeky. This was the most well stocked rental we have ever stayed in - Trinda provides almost everything you could need. Loved that there was a broom/dust pan, and cleaning supplies in the unit. She even provided laundry soap and coffee/tea! Owner is on site as well which was super helpful. We would definitely rent at this complex again, and from Trinda. Thank you!

We would stay here again. Enjoyed the view from the condo looking at the ocean. The condo was just steps away from the beach where we could watch the sunset nightly. We took the sunset cruise from Red Sail and the two stop excursion to Stingray City. Well worth the money.

Oasis of peace

My husband and I are both Canadians but have been living in Cayman since 1999 and 2003, respectively. How can you resist living in a place with beautiful weather year round? We love the small town feel of Cayman and our 'Cayman family' while at the same time being able to enjoy all of the amenities that Cayman has to offer. Our son was born in 2011 and we look forward to many fun times with him in Cayman.

Why they chose this property

We also live at Cayman Reef Resort and really view our properties as an extension of our home. We have many family and friends visit us from Canada and purchased this property in 2013 to have a near-by option for them.

What makes this property unique

Anyone who has stayed at Cayman Reef will tell you one of their favorite things is the evening sunset and how people gather to watch the sunset on the beach each evening. We have beautiful views extending in both directions.
