I can’t say enough good things about this property. Quiet & secluded yet comfortable with adequate space for your needs. Being from Oklahoma, we really enjoyed the ranch atmosphere. And to top it off with an outdoor shower!

The property was spotless. It is out of the way a bit for trips to Kings and Yosemite but still worth it for the seclusion and peaceful environment. We enjoyed stargazing at night and walking the property to visit with the horses. The owners are delightful. Highly recommend!

We had an excellent stay at the cottage. It was comfortable, quiet inside even with the windy/rainy weather outside, and was nestled within a beautiful ranch with friendly animals.

This was the most beautiful property! My husband and I felt so relaxed and rested…we did not want to leave. The hosts were fun to talk to…the horses and burros were sweet…and the views were spectacular! I loved the rose gardens and iris. It’s close to a very cute village on the way to Yosemite. There were several good restaurants. But most of all…the cottage was well worth the money.

We LOVED our stay here! Owners Steve and Gayle have a beautiful, fairly remote property that allows you to experience nature all around. The seemingly hundreds of bunnies are so much fun to watch, the horses and donkeys are so sweet, (Rio Del Dio was my personal fav!) and the viewing platform was amazing to watch the sun rise, sun set, and moon rise. I especially appreciated that they have the cottage stocked with anything you could need - bug spray, sun screen, zip lock bags, and even a cooler which was great for us to pack up on our journeys to Yosemite.We also loved the soaking tub (which I was able to literally float in at 5’4”) and outdoor shower. Something about being outside and continuing to take in all the beauty. I loved watching the humming birds from the outdoor tub, listening to the many owls hooting in the morning air, and the coyotes yipping in the night. 10/10 a wonderful experience.

Sweet getaway

This was such a great stay. The house is super cozy and bed very comfy. We loved the outdoor soaking tub and wandering around checking out all the animals. Just beautiful! I would definitely stay here again

This was such a fun place to stay. We really enjoyed ending our day by walking around the property to pet the horses and donkeys, while watching the sunset. The cottage was comfy and has a beautiful patio to enjoy your morning coffee. The hosts are very kind and gave us many suggestions for our trip to Yosemite as well.

The property was amazing! The instructions provided for check-in were very detailed and useful. We enjoyed walking around in the morning saying hi to the horses and donkeys. We especially enjoyed going to the deck above to watch the stars at night. We will definitely be back!

The whole weekend was amazing. Absolutely everything I was looking forward to. The cottage was so enjoyable. From the morning chirps of the squirrel, yes the squirrels to the beautiful sunsets from the observation deck to the night time soak in the outside bath tub, this spot had it all and it was only for us. Enjoyed a welcome from host but after that they really gave us our privacy. All and all we had a very romantic Valentines weekend at the cottage.

Loved the landscape and the owners’ good taste and efforts in decorating the cottage. It’s clean and comfortable. Loved the backyard with swing and outdoor tub. We stayed for three nights as part of our California road trip. It was definitely the highlight of our trip. Lovely cottage, fantastic location, so peaceful. We loved the outside bath and shower, walking around the ranch with the horses and donkeys and watching the sunrise and sunset from the viewing platform. This is a perfect base for visiting Yosemite National Park and Mariposa Grove. The hosts were lovely and helpful. We made some fantastic memories and would love to return in the future.
