Impressive mountain views, short walk to the river. Cabin was cosy and clean, with comfortable bed and everything you need. A great place to get away from everything and enjoy the great outdoors.

Thank you, Hosts Sarah and Jordan for sharing your slice of paradise! Manu Park is such a wonderful holiday destination! The drive through your property gave us kangaroos, cows and views galore. The cottage is well appointed with a large lounge area that allows everyone to relax. The outdoor set up allows family to play games, sit and enjoy the serenity. The river access is amazing! Once we found the road down (Yes, we did the bush trip first - kangaroos and crossing the river across a fallen log) we realised the treasure of the property! The waterhole by the rockface is pure magic. Thank you for letting us use your gazebo shade tent on such a hot day! The kids and Charlie our dog loved swimming whilst we were down at the river. We loved every moment of our stay. Thank you for providing fans in each room to help against the hot weather. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this as a great holiday destination!

Great getaway - highly recommended

Lovely spot and the house was perfect for a comfortable getaway. Everything you need is included (Cooking / linen / BBQ etc.), with a lovely flowing river at the back of the property and plenty of space as part of the stay.

What great hidden gem. Plenty of room for everyone. Beautiful swimming hole. Would come again.

Highly recommend the farm stay. Secluded spot by the river with the goats and kangaroos!

A wonderful getaway

We had a great stay in this house. We were 2 families and felt lucky to be in such beautiful countryside. There's everything you need and the creek access is lovely for the kids and dogs to have a splash. Would come again

Off grid getaway

The track leading to the farmhouse through the paddocks is a great introduction to the property. Enjoy the peace and quiet, all the basics are covered so moving in with just foid and drinks for your stay is all you'll need to bring with you. The creek setting is worth a look and the hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly. Thanks for having us, we look forward to returning in the future.

Watton Retreat

Beautiful property, well maintained ( except the road to the cottage - needs to be graded as was very rough. thankfully we had an AWD car.) Lovely location and beautiful walking to the Macquarie River in the afternoon. peaceful and relaxing weekend - was lovely.

Peaceful and secluded

I stayed here with my husband and our two dogs for the weekend and it was the perfect getaway for us. The property is in a beautiful location with the river a short walk from the cabin. We spent most of our time in the river and on the beach which our dogs loved and then having the cabin fenced meant they could run around. The cabin was comfortable and made for an easy enjoyable stay, it was also far away from the main residence so it was super private. We’d love to come back again for another weekend!

Gorgeous Cottage in a stunning private location!

You will not be disappointed if you stay in this gorgeous cottage! It has everything you need for a comfortable stay to get away from it all! We loved exploring along the river bank and around the property with the kids. The property was easy to get to just 20 minutes from Bathurst. Sarah was a great host, very easy to communicate with and gave great instructions to the property.

Beautiful secluded spot

We absolutely loved this place. The home was roomy and plenty of options for keeping kids busy including swings, big fenced yard, games , colouring books. Its a short walk down the hill to the sandy banks of a river. Beautiful rocks galore! The fire warmed the whole house. Massive loungeroom with big lounge for all. Everything u need in the kitchen. The beds are so comfortable!!!! We wish we had booked it for longer. Truly awesome place to stay!

What a wonderful stay we had

Peaceful, wonderful nights under the stars and in front of the fire, welcomed by butterflies upon butterflies around the old tree at the top of the hill, goats, cute white sheep with black faces, al papa's, kangaroos down by the river. Left my wedding ring behind and Sarah readily retrieved it and got it to us. We are so grateful for the memory of this trip for our family. Thank you

Quite rural experience with great views, river nearby and large family area

Isolated, off grid, good sized accommodation. Comfortable beds, hundred of dvds, games and lovely views. Reasonably well equipped kitchen. Probably would have like crockery plates ext, but plastic was provided and functional. Linen does need replacing, but does the job. Overall, a positive stay for three families sharing a Christmas lunch together!

Just what we needed

We loved our stay at Maru Park. A great location allowing us to feel free and escape the busyness of life while not being too far out of town. The house was ideal for us, equipped with what we needed and we arrived to a fire already going. There was plenty to explore and the kids loved visiting the creek. There was a lot of excitement each day as we drove down the driveway saying hello to all the sheep who watched as we passed and trying to find the little black lamb with the white tail. Our short stay was just what we needed for our little family and we look forward to doing it again.

New year short stay

Had a lovely short time away with family and pets. The only downside is the property being powered by solar power which would switch off during the night making it extremely difficult to go out in the darkness to get the generator started or make the decision to sweat it out for the rest of the night till morning when the solar power would once again kick in. The road too leading to the property is a bit dangerous. Despite these, we had a great break.

A chance to get away from it all.

This is an isolated property for those who want to experience a bit of isolation. There's a beautiful creek a short walk from away with the chance to see a range of the local wildlife, such as rabbits, kangaroos, sheep, highland cattle and even a wild deer. It is fully off grid and don't forget to bring your woollies in winter as it gets damn cold. Make sure that you don't drive the Ferrari as it is accessed via a rough dirt road over a steep hill through the sheep dung. In conclusion, if you want to get away from it all and sit in front of the wood fire this may be the place for you.

Tranquillity at its best

My family of 5 (13, 15, and 17) and our dog stayed for 4 nights during winter. It was better than described and upon arrival, wverything was made easy. The beds had linen already including blankets and a towel for each bed. Firewood was already chopped and ready to go, which was put to use straight away. The property is isolated from the main house and the neighbours, making it a true isolated property experience for my family. If you are looking to get away from the city life or want a short change of scenery from the beach life, this property lived up to expectations. It only needed an electric fry pan and we couldnt get the washing machine to work, but I didnt bother management with that issue as we lived without it.

Checkin easy, with clear directions from owners. The big house is an old girl, but is quite comfortable with most of what you would need. Completely off grid running on solar, which would work to full capacity best in sunny weather. During our stay it was mostly cloudy, so we experienced 2 blackouts on the first 2 nights. After contacting the owners for guidance, hubby knew how to boot up the generator to get power back on. For us, this was the only drawback as the blackouts happened late at night both times whilst i was latheted up in the shower! There was plenty of firewood for the big old fireplace that kept us warm. Good comfy bed.There was a huge array of DVDs to choose from so we got to watch movies we hadnt seen before, boardgames to play, a swingset outside, if you have young ones and a good BBQ that we used every night to cook. Outside awning was excellent, providing a big undercover eating area, big firepit outside which was so relaxing to sit by. As its pitch black on the property at night, you get to see trillions of stars that you dont see back home. Location/scenery is excellent 10/10. If you like country, you'll love where this place is. We've never seen such stunningly breathtaking scenery. Big old trees everywhere, quartz in the earth, the Macquarie River running clear at the back of the property, escarpments, a sandy area to sit and listen to the water running as there is no other sounds. It was simply stunning! A relaxing soul soothing place to stay.
